A show hosted by me – (mostly unknown Adam PopeZ). I live just outside of Nashville, TN where I write music, perform, and leave so I can tour. In my rare, spare time I interview other musicians, songwriters, historic Music Row session players, and darn good storytellers whom I hope you’ll find interesting.

It’s road trip time! Join Tony Stuart and Aaron Badgley as they cruise the rock and roll highway taking a look at the week that was in rock history. Great stories, lots of laughs and an all-around good time…Hop in the back and join us in The Way-Back Music Machine!
Well, ring out the old and ring in the new.
It is a new year, and a new look for The Way-Back Music Machine. We have reached episode 82!
This year, we thought we would do something a little different.
We will be going through the Week That Was day by day, starting on Sunday.
And, of course, since The Beatles feature prominently in our show and rock and roll history, there has to be an 8th day (“Eight Days A Week”, right?).
This week we explore Bill Haley and His Comets hit “Rock Around The Clock”, talk about South Park (yes, they had a hit), and a salute George Martin and Malcom Young, both of whom have birthdays this week. We also take a look at a poll in Liverpool in 1962, and talk about The Supremes. Finally, on the eighth day we look at a failed audition. Actually it is THE failed audition.
All that plus charts and great conversation between friends on Episode 82 of The Way-Back Music Machine.
Don’t forget to check out the Spotify playlist that goes with this episode!

Oozing style & sophistication in abundance with a splash of class & charisma all neatly hand-crafted in to one elegant package full of the finest musical ingredients. Simply put: House music at it’s finest. Funky, sexy & stylish. It’s all about House music! [itunes pic]
In this edition you can expect the usual driving house music consisting of tracks that have been destroying many a dancefloor for me in recent months & a couple tracks that simply never grow old!
The last half an hour is fronted by global mega-stars; Plump DJs.
Being early pioneers of the breakbeat genre, the Plump DJs have diversified in recent years to incorporate new styles such as electro, house & bass music. Their sound is still widely thought to maintain a breakbeat aesthetic, but their productions and DJ sets have become stylistically broader. Their live guest mix pretty much epitomizes this notion! In 2010, the Plump DJs began releasing material on new London-based label Grand Hotel.
Be sure to check the guys out here

a time traveling trip through rock and roll history with bios, stories and unique insights from Johnny Maraca, host of the radio show, Johnny Maraca’s Rock & Roll Riot. My latest iTunes podcast. Elvis Presley popularized the mix of country and R&B but Bill Haley was there first. Source material: Unsung Heroes of Rock and Roll, by Nick Tosches. Below, Elvis visits with Haley during Bill’s European tour.
