    Experience by Design

    Experience by Design

    by

    Since Aug 2, 2018 20:15 UTC

This is experience by design, a podcast that brings new perspectives to the experiences we have everyday. Does standing in line always have to suck? Why are airports so uncomfortable? What does it mean to be loyal to a brand? Why do you love being connected but dislike feeling tethered to your smart phone? Can we train people to care about the climate? Join Sociologist Gary David and Anthropologist Adam Gamwell on an expedition to the frontiers of culture and business through the lens of human experience. We’re here to make sense of the madness with leading psychologists, cognitive and social scientists, entrepreneurs, and business leaders.

When you write a novel or build a game, you have to design a whole world. A world with culture, hierarchy, taboos, economy, fairness, traditions, careers, and origin stories. In Full Worlds, we hear authors and creators explain the worlds they built, without the story getting in the way.

    The Full-time Dreamer Project

    by

    Since Jun 11, 2020 22:00 UTC

In The Full-time Dreamer Project I will spend time with people dreaming about the future. My goal is to create a time capsule of hope during a global crisis and beyond. Through these conversations, we will: 1. think without the constraint of the present, relieving pressure of immediacy; 2. Understand what gives hope in a time beyond the current; 3. Create a path towards enacting change through that hope. Something I think we all desperately need.

    Phenomena

    by

    Since Nov 6, 2019 01:39 UTC

How are the algorithms in our lives holding us back? What are the most pressing problems of urban residents businesses can help resolve? What can other sectors learn from how the luxury industry is getting sustainability right? These are some of the questions we unpack in season two of the Phenomena podcast by ReD Associates, which explores how a deep understanding of human behaviour can help shape better business strategy. During each episode, ReD partner Eliot Salandy Brown interviews colleagues and industry experts on the biggest human and cultural topics of our time, to reveal how they are often misunderstood and how the social sciences can help businesses get them right.
