“No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.” (Matthew 6:24)

It is truth; no one can serve 2 masters. Covetousness is idolatry and the god of Mammon (money and things) rules over many instead of God. If we desire anything more than we do Him, it begins to gain the mastery over our lives. And if you want it too much, you’ll go too far to get it. The enemy uses this to deceive and defraud millions every day. But when the Lord is our one and only Master, and we desire Him above all, we’ll be kept safe and our hearts will know fulfillment like no money or thing could ever give!

1 Peter 1:18-19 …you were not redeemed with corruptible things… but with the precious blood of Christ… We’ve been redeemed at a very high price. We sold ourselves by bowing our knee to the evil one, but God loved us so much that He would not just sit by and let us perish. He bought us with the precious, costly, Blood of the Lamb. What does the enormity of the price He paid for you say about your value? When you believe who you are in Him, it anchors your soul, and you become a different person. You are precious in His sight!

God is on your side. He is with you. He is for you. And if God is for you, who or what can successfully be against you?

When you realize that the Creator of the heavens and the earth—the Almighty—is on your side and helping you, you cast your cares and walk in peace and faith. You become secure in God.

It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. John 6:63

Jesus said, “It is the Spirit that quickens.” We need to be very clear about what is done in the flesh and what is done in the Spirit. A big key to identifying the Holy Spirit is when He is manifesting or moving, He gives us life and liberty and freedom. But when we do things in the flesh, it’s tough, and it takes too long; it’s wearying.

Wrong spirits will endeavor to lead you into fear and make you subject to bondage and death. Try the spirits. Check your heart and trust the One Who is inside of you. Know what to yield to and what to resist, and become more “God-inside” minded. The Holy Spirit will minister life and peace and joy to you; He makes you feel like you belong!

“…Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord. Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.” Matthew 9:28-29

We receive according to our faith. It is the determining factor—not the power or will of God, and not our needs or wants. Faith is a choice, and it’s very important to our God; it’s what pleases Him.

As you listen to this series, allow the God Who you don’t see to become more real than the needs you do see. Miracles happen according to our faith.
