    Time & Money

    Time & Money

    by

    Since May 2, 2022 16:15 UTC

Ben Franklin penned the phrase “time is money” back in the 18th century. Three hundred years later, we take it for granted. But the idea that time is money has had a massive impact on the way we work and earn our livelihoods today. Time & Money is an 8-part limited series designed to help you question your assumptions about time, money, and their intersection. What is money? How much is our time work? How do we measure quality time? And what metrics really matter when it comes to how we understand our time and our money? Time & Money is a special presentation of What Works, hosted by Tara McMullin, and YellowHouse.Media. You’ll hear from experts like Paco de Leon, founder of Hell Yeah Bookkeeping, money coach Keina Newell, business operations specialist Elisabeth Jackson, and American in Paris Anne Ditmeyer. We’ll dive into the history of work, consult philosophy, explore social and political theory, and ask: is time really money?

The Well-Fed Freelancer w/ The Evil Bald Genius & Connor Benham

The Well-Fed Freelancer w/ The Evil Bald Genius & Connor Benham

    by

    Since Jan 9, 2021 00:00 UTC

The Well-Fed Podcast is for freelancers, coaches, consultants and other service providers who are sick to the back teeth of being walked-over, disrespected, and treated like a second-class citizen by tyre-kickers, wannabes, time wasters, prospects, clients, and others who hold the purse-strings and sign the cheques. While the rest of your industry settles for mediocre, average, and merely “adequate”, you’re determined to grow the business you know is possible, and attract the best clients on-demand, sell to them at above market rates, and have it all ticking over like clockwork and the predictable reliability of a well-oiled machine. We are the mavericks, the “chosen few”, the ones willing to ruffle feathers, tread on toes, and stick our heads above the parapet in pursuit of what we know to be right. We refuse to accept anything less than an exceptional business, and one built legally, morally, ethically, and entirely above board in today’s dire economy, despite recession, incompetent government, and tight-fisted banks. So if you’re looking to have your hand held and your fevered brow mopped with gentle, loving hands, you’d be best advised not to listen to this Podcast, because you won’t like it. But if you’re made of sterner stuff and serious about creating an end-to-end process to attract the best clients and sell to them at premium fees, and all without resistance, anxiety, or having you resort to begging and discounts to secure the work then you’re in the right place and listening to the right Bunnies. Bottom line: if you’re prepared to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in to some hard graft, and you’re not timid, faint-hearted, or unwilling to deal with criticism, carping, and complaint from competitors and penny-pinching prospects and clients alike, then this is the Podcast you’ve been looking for.

    Design Life

    Design Life

    by

    Since Nov 30, 2015 09:55 UTC

Design Life is a podcast about design and side projects for motivated creators. It was born after your hosts, two serial side project addicts, saw a gap in the podcast market for a conversational show about design and the issues young creatives face, that was hosted by two females. This show aims to tackle the big issues designers face like getting paid, overcoming a creative block or managing time, to name a few. We want to open up discussion about things we wish we heard people talk about when we were studying, and we want to chat to you about the joys and the frustrations of working in the tech industry by day, and on our passion projects in the rest of our waking hours. We hope that by doing so, Design Life will give you a dose of motivation or inspiration when you need it.
