Mohammed Hijab is a debater and public speaker who engages in discussions and polemics on a wide variety of topics including religion, politics and society. He completed a Politics degree and a Masters in History from Queen Mary University. He has taught and instructed courses on humanities and languages in many contexts. Mohammed Hijab has numerous Ijazahs in some Islamic sciences and has studied in multiple Islamic seminaries including the Shinqeeti Institute which employs a traditional Mauritanian style of teaching the Sacred Sciences. Mohammed Hijab is currently doing further postgraduate research in Islamic studies at SOAS University of London.

Life is too rushed, too complex, and always way too stressful. We all know this. And sometimes we need to pause things… just for a while. Sit… Breathe… Relax… Three simple remedies to help ease your hectic day. And so we cordially invite you to take a much needed short break: a restorative pause in which to pull up a chair, to sit back and join Steve Matchett and Kevin Fielden pondering the world from the porch of Steve’s home on the banks of Lake Wylie, in Charlotte, North Carolina. The entire premise for this pleasurable distraction is intentionally unassuming: Two friends chatting about nothing in particular (most definitely not about religion or politics) for half-an-hour, maybe forty minutes. That’s it. That’s the whole thing. One take. No quirky, overly produced editing. No unnecessary music playing in the background – nothing beyond the natural ambience of nature itself. In essence, then, gentle listener, this little get-together is simply you, Matchett and the other guy unwinding by the lake – friends enjoying one another’s company. The restorative pause. IntroVETS is a veterinary podcast by introverts with high-functioning anxiety. The show was conceptualized in 2019 and launched in 2020 by co-hosts Lauren and JJ. Lauren, a veterinarian, and Jennifer, a Licensed Veterinary Technician in the state of Alabama, have over 40 years of combined experience in the veterinary field. The podcast presents veterinary case studies in a fun and relatable way, along with various sidebars, interesting facts, and new research. The hosts talk frankly about anxiety and other mental health concerns, going to therapy, and related topics. There is (hopefully) a strong humor element, as well as some philosophizing and opinion sharing. There is also the occasional moderately naughty word, but we try to not use the big guns. It’s not really a formal environment – it’s more of a veterinary hang, and we’d love to see you there!
