Each of these transmissions are a separate, special ride through the multi-colored corridors of Bassnectar mixes and sets; an outlet for the highlights and the bangers, as well as a testing lab for unreleased projects, sideshow experiments, and the vast music collection of our record crates and hardrives. We call the Bassnectar style “omnitempo maximalism” …a shorthand expression for our musical attitude and philosophy: No Limits, No Rules, No Stopping the all-out Freakshow. At times mellow or melodic, and at times surging or perverse, we explore all sounds and genres with open arms. Visit www.bassnectar.net/podcast for more info on specific broadcasts.
The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University is a leading force in the American theater, producing groundbreaking work in Cambridge and beyond. A.R.T.’s Act II initiative is an experiment in disrupting the role of spectator as passive observer. Act II invites audience members to remain in the theater following performances for a second act of curated discussions. An open forum focused on the core themes of A.R.T. productions, these moderated conversations have included scholars, medical professionals, families, activists, artists, educators, and more—highlighting the ways in which members of the A.R.T. community continue to create impact in the Boston area and the world. For more information about Act II programs for specific productions, including participant bios and audio recordings of productions, please visit http://americanrepertorytheater.org/page/act-ii-art.
