Into The Weird: A Marvel Bronze Age Comic Book Podcast

Into The Weird: A Marvel Bronze Age Comic Book Podcast

    by

    Since Jun 8, 2018 17:58 UTC

Here we explore the madness of Marvel Comics in the Bronze Age! From the trippy Doctor Strange stories of the 1970s to freaky four-color favorites like Morbius, Man-Thing, Howard The Duck, The Defenders, and Ghost Rider, ItW is pure comic book adrenalin distilled into a podcast of epic scope. Join us for a comic-filled jaunt… INTO THE WEIRD. We also offer the additional shows Dragons & Jive, House of Licensed Ideas, and Radio Free Hyboria. Let Weirdness reign!

An Into The Weird Bonus Episode! Straight from our Patreon Archives, Conan the Barbarian and Kull The Conqueror are back from the dusty Nemedian Chronicles of the Bronze Age, when lads were bronze and brawny, ladies were wicked and wily, and worms were white and…, well, wyrmish, apparently. Join Herman and Billy for a terror-filled discussion of adrenalin-fueled comic book madness as we delve deep into the murk of the Hyborian and Pre-Cataclysmic eras. See Conan get his heart stolen (it’s not what you think, but then again, maybe it is!) and witness King Kull battle the twin menaces of a segmented terror and a tiny purple flower. And that’s just for starters.

Comics artists Reilly Brown (Deadpool, Outrage) and George O’Connor (Olympians) spin silly and sinister suppositional scenarios while stranded at sea. Hypothetically speaking, it’s a great time. Also, as comics creators, they talk geek stuff with their geeky guests, who are also pretty much all comics creators too. Comics!
