Justice Or Nah! A True Crime Podcast

Justice Or Nah! A True Crime Podcast

    by

    Since May 15, 2020 06:57 UTC

Justice or Nah is a true crime podcast. I’ve followed some of the most famous cases through my favorite true crime podcasts, documentaries, shows, books etc… but these crimes, while heinous, aren’t the crimes that intrigue me the most. These actually aren’t the cases that keep me up at night. You see, it is the smaller cases, the ones people barely even know about, that I get caught up in. I can’t let go of the cases where car accidents become negligent homicides, or family disagreements lead to grandmothers going to prison. I am going to share some cases with you, and together we will determine if Justice was served or Nah.

    Journey of a Song

    by

    Since Feb 4, 2021 21:00 UTC

Have you ever wondered how a song is made? What happens during the recording process? In Journey of a Song, singer-songwriter Emmeline takes the audience on a tour of a musician’s creative process, from the first notes to the final recorded song. Each week, a different songwriter pulls back the curtain on a favorite composition, beginning with an acoustic version of the song and ending with the final recorded product. In between, you’ll hear a conversation about the inspiration behind the song, the decisions made in the recording booth, and the many ways in which music reflects and informs our emotions and our lives. Find behind-the-scenes photos and more when you follow @EmmelineMusic on Instagram!

Mission Log: A Roddenberry Star Trek Podcast

    by

    Since Aug 8, 2012 17:19 UTC

Mission Log is a Roddenberry Entertainment podcast with the sole purpose of exploring the Star Trek universe one episode at a time. That’s right, this podcast will cover six different series and 30 seasons of television by journeying into every one of the 726 episodes with a single mission: to explore, debate and discuss one of the largest science fiction phenomena of all time, Star Trek. Starting with The Original Series’ initial pilot and continuing chronologically until we reach the last episode of Star Trek: Enterprise, each week our hosts will tackle a single episode, delving into the most historical and hysterical science fiction that Star Trek has to offer. Along with a variety of guests and interviews, Mission Log will attempt to reach Star Trek’s ethical subtext, understand it’s complex metaphors and finally figure out what was the trouble with those tribbles. Explore strange new details. Seek out new perspectives; deeper understandings. Boldly go where so many of us love to go, again and again. Join us for Mission Log!

    The Panpsycast Philosophy Podcast

    The Panpsycast Philosophy Podcast

    by

    Since Aug 1, 2016 16:00 UTC

A weekly ‘informal and informative’ philosophy podcast inspiring and supporting students, teachers, academics and free-thinkers worldwide. All episodes are available at www.thepanpsycast.com. Galileo Galilei is widely considered to be the father of modern science and one of the greatest philosophers to have lived. Galileo played a pivotal role in the developments of the scientific revolution, overturning key tenants of Aristotelian physics and most significantly, advocating mathematics as the language of science. For Galileo, the physics of the past was plagued with unhelpful sensory qualities like colours, tastes, smells and sounds; for science to make progress, he thought, ‘the book of the universe’ must be written in a purely quantitative language. For Durham University’s Philip Goff, this was Galileo’s Error. The hard problem of consciousness was born when Galileo stripped consciousness away from the scientific picture. Somehow, we must find a way back. We must lay the foundations for a new science – a new science of consciousness. Contents Part I. Foundations for a New Science of Consciousness Part II. Further Analysis and Discussion Links Philip Goff, Galileo’s Error (2019). Philip Goff, Website. Philip Goff, Twitter.

    Balls Deep

    by

    Since Jun 8, 2018 02:06 UTC

What happens when men answer the same questions women get asked – questions about balancing work and family, how they look, what they wear and their parenting decisions? Balls Deep is a revealing insight into the lives of some of Australia’s best known blokes as they discuss father guilt, relationships, bereavement and regret. A new podcast from news.com.au. Hosted by journalist LJ Charleston, Ghosted explores the bewildering practice of ghosting, one of the most destructive behaviours for both the ghosted and ghost. The ghost is usually left with guilt. The ghosted is left with rejection and questions that in most cases will never be answered. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

    New View EDU

    by

    Since Jul 25, 2021 04:00 UTC

In the past year, school leaders have faced a constant need to innovate and respond to rapidly changing conditions in their communities, our nation and our world. Now we’re all seeking ways to bring healing and strength to our schools in the year ahead. But what else can we learn from these challenging times, and what inspiration can we draw for the future of schools? Tim Fish, NAIS Chief Innovation Officer, is teaming up with Lisa Kay Solomon, author, educator and designer of strategic conversations for leaders, to host a new podcast that will probe the questions that matter most right now.

One thing is certain: The world will continue to be complex and ever-changing. This moment can inspire us to approach the future with resilience, curiosity and belief in new possibilities. NAIS New View EDU will support school leaders in finding those new possibilities and understanding that evolving challenges require compassionate and dynamic solutions. We’re engaging brilliant leaders from both inside and outside the education world to explore the larger questions about what schools can be, and how they can truly serve our students, leaders and communities. From neuroscience to improvisation, Afrofuturism to architecture, our guests bring unexpected new lenses to considering the challenges and opportunities facing schools. No prescriptions, no programs — New View EDU is providing inspiration to ask new questions, dig into new ideas, and find new answers to the central question: “How can we use what we’ve learned to explore the future of what our schools are for?”
