I’m Tuna and I love talking to interesting people. The crazier, the better! I come from a blue collar suburb of Philadelphia, often referred to as Delco. I’ve worked as a soldier, mechanic, truck driver, equipment operator, welder, fabricator, construction worker, plumber, etc. Yes,I’ve done them all, some longer than others. My show may make you laugh or cry. It may make you think. However, ITS NOT FOR CHILDREN. I do use adult language and discuss adult content.

Welcome to the She’s Hungry Podcast, here we explore the space between what we think we know, what we feel like we “should” know, and what has yet to be discovered that we’ve actually known all along. I’m Cait Pearson, your host, a self-proclaimed philomath. At any given time I no-doubt have a minimum of 20 tabs open on my web-browser. Exploring topics ranging from easy recipes for nomadic, van-life living to research on correlative studies of neuropsychological fear responses as related to societal conditioned milestones deemed appropriate for women. The breadth is wide, and the depth gets real deep, and just like my web browser history on the show, anything goes. We will unravel common curiosities like shadow-work, facing fears, and what does it actually mean to do “the work.” I’ll talk about modern dating, travel recs, and the latest fiction books I’m loving. Come along for the ride of your everyday 30-something having a passionate love affair with what it means to be human and live fully alive.

William Booth (1829 – 1912) was the founding General of the Salvation Army in late nineteenth century England. Finding his salvation as a teenager, he went on to become one of the most controversial and, ultimately, well-loved and respected social reformers of his day. Published in 1890 amidst the turmoil of the death of his beloved wife, Catherine, “In Darkest England” was hailed as a revolutionary approach to coping with the social ills facing Great Britain at the time. Although 130 years old, this revolutionary book of Victorian England still has much to say of note today. – Summary by Tom Hirsch

The tree is beautiful and they call her Eden. Her branches reach for the stars. She is like all other trees on planet Earth save for her enormous size. Still, she has leaves and she has bark. She turns sunlight into life. But this tree does not sprout from the dirt. Eden fills the sky, high in orbit above the blue expanse of Uranus. There she changes humanity’s very concept of extraterrestrial life. Dr. Malcolm Green is sent to Eden to audit a science team studying this extraordinary tree from the dark confines of space station Lola. But with unexplainable accidents plaguing the team, tensions are mounting between scientists and custodial staff. Is there a future for this project and Lola? Only Malcolm Green can make that call. From the second he sets foot on Lola, Malcolm’s own future becomes at stake. He soon finds that love, friendship, and his own mortality tremble like a leaf at the sound of Eden’s call. Eden is the latest podcast fiction offering from Phil Rossi, author of Crescent and Notes from the Vault.
