    Candid Conversations

    by

    Since Dec 7, 2019 18:07 UTC

Love and religion are some of the fundamental parts of our identity, but the two often intersect in complicated ways. “Candid Conversations” examines the intersections between the LGBT community and members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in a series of interviews that feature members of both groups. In addition to the interviews, “Candid Conversations” seeks to strengthen understanding and compassion between the two communities and to highlight experiences of those within the intersections of the two.

    Gap Year For Grown-Ups

    Gap Year For Grown-Ups

    by

    Since Jan 15, 2019 18:57 UTC

A podcast about moving from midlife to old age in a society that devalues old people. It takes courage and (b)oldness. What’s old age *really* like? Debbie explores that question in each episode in a frank 30-minute conversation with a best-selling author, expert, or exceptional individual. With her guests she delves into the unretired (non-retired) life, slowing down, ageism, physical deterioration, grandparenting, intergenerational collaboration, grief and widowhood, and more. As well as other stuff that piques her interest: for example, the craft of writing. She invites her husband, Sam Harrington, on as a frequent guest. He’s a retired physician with a dry sense of humor and he makes her laugh. Debbie and Sam took a grownup gap year at age 61, leaving behind a comfortable life in Washington D.C. Now in their early 70s, they live an “unretired” life on an island off the coast of Maine. Just A Podcast

    Just A Podcast

    by

    Since Mar 15, 2021 02:00 UTC

YowKno.com is a podcast and entertainment network focused on Jesus Christ as we grow further together. We all have struggles and we won’t hide ours. We are not your normal Christian network that focuses on everyone else beside us. Rather we strive for bettering ourselves and in that process, hope people can learn from our own achievements. Our podcasts is really “Just A Podcast.” It may grow into something big, it may be God’s calling for those who serve God through it, and it may point others to Christ who is the way to Salvation. But ultimately our podcasts is apart of the world too. Just like a phone, or mouths; it can be used for Good, and it can also be used for evil. So in correlation to God’s prescribed will, may we choose him over us. We won’t make a false statement saying everyday we pray that this be God’s will because we understand that it is. But in gratitude of this spiritual gift we say that we are all sinners, and somethings said may be wrong. And that’s okay. Keeping God first will allow truth to prevail as God is truth. We know God never made humans to understand everything, but rather a willingness to understand what we can. So with eagerness let’s seek Christ together. Amen! Rainer on Leadership

    by

    Since Jan 14, 2020 08:00 UTC

Rainer on Leadership is your online home for leadership lessons for the local church. This twice-weekly podcast provides practical training on important issues for church leaders and pastors. For more information, visit ChurchAnswers.com.

It’s unreasonable to expect everyone to agree with everything you say. In fact, if you’re doing your job well as a pastor, taking firm stances and having a clear vision, then you will likely have dissent. In most cases, this dissent is not an omen of malevolence, but rather a sign of trust. Thom and Sam discuss why it’s not a bad thing that everyone doesn’t always agree with you.
