Before Spider-Man, X-Men, or the Incredible Hulk were ever imagined, the Marvel Universe we know today began with Stan Lee and Jack Kirby’s first issue of The Fantastic Four, a superhero team made up of the elastic Mister Fantastic, The Invisible Woman, The Human Torch, and The Thing. Marvel’s First Family were a new type of superhero that had personal problems as well as super-villains to fight. In print, the comic was an instant hit, but in theaters, the Fantastic Four have a less-than-fantastic cinematic history. Now join Stuart, Arnie, and Jakob as they continue their look at all the Marvel Comics movie adaptations with all three Fantastic Four feature films. In this first installment, the Now Playing hosts watch a film never meant to be seen — 1994’s Fantastic Four. Made on the cheap and possibly never intended for release, this film has become legend to comic book lovers and film lovers alike. Why was this film never released? Did it deserve its fate? Listen to find out!
