SnarkNotes is a classic “Keli-Alice mess around” where literary analysis meets pop culture references with a side of snark and a bottle of wine. Since the beginning of their friendship, Keli and Alice have found themselves off in the corner of every movie or wine night intensely discussing a random topic that no one else seems to care about. SnarkNotes was born when they decided to foist their literature and pop culture related ramblings onto the world. So please enjoy this monthly podcast where the hosts discuss everything from the merits of a socially awkward Mr. Darcy to why finding a boyfriend with a crow-and-smoke aesthetic is so difficult. Topics will range from literature to television to movies, but the nerdiness and sarcasm will be constant. Spoilers abound! The time has come to talk about You. (Not you, specifically. Sorry! But You the little-watched Liftetime series turned Netflix hit.) Over the course of two seasons, You has crafted a fascinating phycological thriller that turns the typical boy meets girl romance on its head. Join Keli and Alice as they talk about all the things that make this show compelling, including Penn Badgley’s willingness to lean into his Gossip Girl roots, and his refusal to let the internet romanticize his character.

Ravin’ Girls: A Raven Cycle Podcast

    by

    Since Sep 11, 2017 22:41 UTC

We’re Shannon and Nievita, and we’re the Ravin’ Girls! Welcome to our Raven Cycle podcast, where we analyze Maggie Stiefvater’s Raven Cycle as a cycle, taking a look at the connections and foreshadowing running throughout the series. We dissect the themes of the books, discuss the arcs of the wonderfully complex characters, and take “Deep Dives” on the origins, folklore, mythology, history, and fandom that surrounds this iconic young adult series. Each episode covers 3-5 chapters worth of material, and each book has its own self-contained Season. We often cover Maggie Stiefvater’s new novels or other related works in Special Episodes. New episodes release on the first and third Thursdays of every month. Join us as we follow the adventures of four dysfunctional teenagers and their dead Welsh boyfriend!

Do you ever get swept up in the fan theories for your favorite novel on TikTok / BookTok? Well we do, too! Book Talk for BookTok co-hosts Jac and Amy deep dive into the writing of some of BookTok’s favorite novels. With their literary backgrounds, they’re here to provide some novel insight (see what we did there?) to popular books on BookTok, sprinkled with a rant or two and a generous layer of humor. In season one, Jac and Amy explored Sarah J. Maas’ controversial novel, A Court of Thorns and Roses. In season two, they covered the beloved sequel, A Court of Mist and Fury. In season three, which launched January 31, 2023, they dive into the final book in the series, A Court of Wings and Ruin.
