    by

    Since Jan 11, 2009 19:25 UTC

Kaijucast is a Godzilla-related podcast where giant Japanese monsters (aka Kaiju) take center stage. Aside from the standard podcast banter, host and hardcore Godzilla-fan Kyle Yount shares his favorite music and audio clips from the films, reports news and interviews special guests in this bi-monthly podcast. To reduce server load, the feed has been reduced to the 20 most recent episodes, but all are available for download at Kaijucast.com

    Janus Descending

    Janus Descending

    by

    Since Oct 28, 2018 02:09 UTC

NOW PLAYING: Descendants, The Janus Descending Sequel: Book One – Inheritance JANUS DESCENDING is limited series, science fiction/horror audio drama podcast, follows the arrival of two xenoarcheologists on a small world orbiting a binary star. But what starts off as an expedition to survey the planet and the remains of a lost alien civilization, turns into a monstrous game of cat and mouse, as the two scientists are left to face the creatures that killed the planet in the first place. Told from two alternating perspectives, Janus Descending is an experience of crossing timelines, as one character describes the nightmare from end to beginning, and the other, from beginning to the end. DESCENDANTS is a two-season limited series science-fiction adventure/thriller, and the sequel of Janus Descending. The story begins where Janus Descending left off, at our lost crew’s nightmarish homecoming, and follows Peter’s older brother, Axel, through the aftermath of the Janus Disaster. Three days after the wreckage of the Adamantine was found, crashed on the barren plains of the Rosseter Moon Colony, the remains of the missing ship were brought back to Aphelion Industries. But something survived the crash, and now, it’s beginning to spread. As the Gorgons begin their rampage to consume and multiply, Axel, Captain Rori, and the ARC Juno team must fight their way out of the quarantined facilities, and find a way to stay alive… but in doing so, they just might damn their world…

    Kronos

    Kronos

    by

    Since Mar 23, 2009 21:17 UTC

Two years after his wife’s death, oceanographer and former navy SEAL, Atticus Young, attempts to reconcile with his rebellious daughter, Giona, by taking her on the scuba dive of a lifetime-swimming with a pod of peaceful humpback whales in the Gulf of Maine. But the beauty of the sea belies a terror from the deep-a horrific creature as immense as it is ancient. There is no blood, no scream, no fight. Giona is swallowed whole by the massive jaws. Only Atticus remains to suffer the shame of the survivor and his inconsolable grief turns to an unquenchable thirst for revenge. Drawn by the spectacle, Trevor Manfred, a ruthless billionaire, approaches Atticus with a proposition: Trevor will make available all the advanced technology of his heavily armed mega-yacht, the Titan, to aid Atticus in his death-quest. In return, Trevor is to receive the beast’s corpse as the ultimate hunting trophy. But in the midst of the hunt, Atticus makes a terrifying discovery that changes the way he sees the ocean’s creatures and begs the question: what is Kronos? The answer sets him on a new and much more deadly course. Produced and narrated by Jeffrey Kafer Reviews: “Jeremy Robinson’s latest is a Moby Dick meets James Bond thriller with an amazing twist, offering page-turning results.” — Steve Alten, N.Y. Times best-selling author of MEG & The LOCH “Jeremy Robinson peers into the deep. What lurks there is timeless, yet as old as the sea. The fear that dwells in men’s hearts has a face and it has come to the surface.” — Stel Pavlou, International Bestselling author of DECIPHER and GENE “Jeremy Robinson is an ORIGINAL and EXCITING voice.” — Steve Berry, New York Times bestselling author of THE CHARLEMAGNE PURSUIT KRONOS takes a classic theme and turns it into a great page-turning novel that kept me up past the midnight hour. It’s a great read blending myth and high tech, with well developed characters you care about. — Rob Kall, Editor-in-Chief, www.opednews.com “It’s not often that you get a fresh perspective on a monster story. Jeremy Robinson fixes us a delicious tale in which he adds one part characters you want to care about, two parts dramatic but believable storytelling, and three parts imaginative adventure in a dish that can be served to adventure, romance, sci-fi and western fans alike. — Clint DeBoer, Editor-in-Chief, Audioholics.com “… powerful intrigue and wondrous imaginative talent, Jeremy Robinson takes a look at the power of the possible in KRONOS… Robinson does a fantastic job of tantalizing the reader throughout… he pulls on the intricate emotional strains of the story to foster a relationship with a magical possibility wrapped into intriguing situations… KRONOS is sure to set fire to the open imaginations of the world.” — Metro Spirit “Jeremy Robinson possesses a unique talent to take a creature of urban legend, intertwine it with natural history and weave an incredible story of faith, love and adventure.” — thenovelblog.com

    I Don’t Watch Horror

    I Don’t Watch Horror

    by

    Since Jun 28, 2020 13:00 UTC

It seems like all my closest friends LOVE horror movies, and I have seen surprisingly few. I am going to take the time to watch their recommendations and talk with them to get to the bottom of this twisted obsession. I’ll take a deeper look into these films that hold a mirror up to the world, and make it take a look at our darker selves. Think of it as a macabre film study

    Tales from Apocrypha

    Tales from Apocrypha

    by

    Since Aug 26, 2022 13:41 UTC

In the hushed circles of the heretical and the hopeful, there are whispered myths of a dark place. A place overgrown, forgotten, lost to the moss and the mists. A coppery putrid decay clings and coils like malodourous vines to the ancient stones and rotted wood of these ruins. Ruins long since abandoned save for those few barbaric enough to survive. Yet, in the oppressive baited silence of this nameless damnation, something stirs. Something hungry. Something that needs to feed. Welcome to Apocrypha. “Tales From Apocrypha” is a fantasy horror anthology podcast. The world of Apocrypha is full of all the creative themes I love: barbarity, tribalism, cannibalism, false prophets, daemons, monsters, dark powers calling out to be heard, and those who heed the calls. But that is just half of the Apocrypha project. “Tales From Apocrypha” is also running a Kickstarter campaign to launch the first wave of miniatures inspired by and based on the characters and creatures from the stories of Season One. A new dark fantasy miniature range that will expand as the podcast explores the stories from this ruined place. www.talesfromapocrypha.com

What Doesn’t Kill You (Only Almost Kills You)

What Doesn’t Kill You (Only Almost Kills You)

    by

    Since Apr 30, 2017 16:00 UTC

What Doesn’t Kill You (Only Almost Kills You) is hosted by Saoli Nguyen and Darlena Chiem, two humble-ish filmmakers who love horror movies. Well, Saoli loves horror movies. Darlena is a little weenie who has nightmares about them. One thing we both agree on is that horror movie villains (and plot contrivances) must be stopped. Whether it’s a slasher flick or something more paranormal, we take it upon ourselves to figure out how to survive SO YOU DON’T HAVE TO. You’re very welcome. Every two weeks, we watch a different horror movie (the crazier, the better) and b-storm survival strategies with the fervor of people who’ve actually had to escape from a cannibal horde. Other than that, there aren’t many rules to this. Enjoy!
