Each year, religion professors at Brigham Young University (BYU) produce hundreds of publications on subjects related to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This podcast brings this research into one place to enlighten the everyday seeker of truth. Interviewing the author, we discuss why the study was done, why it matters, and why the professor chooses to be both a scholar, and a disciple. This is Y Religion.

Celebrities, thought leaders, and other interesting people who are using their gifts to make the world a better place. Paul Cardall has a unique perspective that enables him to ask guests often unusual questions which provoke sincere and honest answers. He was born with only half a functioning heart, has endured a life-time of medical procedures that culminated in a heart transplant. Hardships didn’t keep Paul from success. Instead, like so many others, his challenges fueled his desire and work ethic to share his gift of music while managing his health, family, and relationship with God. Today, Paul is a Dove Award winning music career with 11 No. Billboard charting albums. He’s spoken and performed to audiences world-wide including the White House.

Celestial Sex, hosted by Chris Duce and produced by Colin Hatch, is an interview series about love and sex through the lens of Mormon upbringing. Our conversations dive into the confusing nature of growing up in Mormonism where sexuality is taught as something that’s beautiful and sacred, but can only be explored after you’re married- usually very quickly in between the temple sealing and the reception in the back of an ’88 Mercury Tracer. Recorded in Los Angeles, we speak with post-mormons, ex-mormons, jacked-mormons, and active mormons alike about their parents’ timid explanations of where babies come from, awkward bishop interviews that mostly focus on masturbation, first sexual experiences, current outlook on sex, and more.

Religious and cult ideologies often use the practice of shunning to silence their critics and to control their members through fear. This podcast sheds light on this practice through real life stories as told by the people that have lived through it. Learn what their lives were like and where they have ended up in life after shunning. Featuring stories from Jehovah’s Witnesses, Scientology, Amish, Mennonite, FLDS, the Moonies, and more, you will learn about the real lives of former members that have been shunned.

Even this nation will be on the very verge of crumbling to pieces and tumbling to the ground, and when the Constitution is upon the brink of ruin, this people will be the staff upon which the nation shall lean, and they shall bear the Constitution away from the very verge of destruction.” Joseph Smith The work of the adversary is in full force as the last days face increasing pressure to abandon the constitutional values that our nation was founded upon. Mormon Patriot Project takes seriously the charge to defend and uphold the constitution and the values of agency and liberty. We exist to inspire and encourage members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to take a stand for the values they fought for once before as premortal warriors for agency. For our freedom, our families and our faith.
