The Global and Imperial History Research Seminar is chaired by Professor Judith Brown (Beit Professor of Commonwealth History), Professor John Darwin (Beit Lecturer of Commonwealth History), and Dr Jan-George Deutsch. The seminar meets each Friday afternoon during term, where a visiting, usually, scholar’s recent research is presented. Those present then engage with both the historical material and historiographical questions of the work. The following podcasts are presented as a means of continuing those discussions and as a resource to those unable to attend. The Global and Imperial History Research Seminar would like to thank each of their speakers for their cooperation in making these recordings available.

Trinette Faint is a writer, model, actress, and creative entrepreneur. She is the author of Collette’s Caleb and MidCoast Star, and has written for Vogue Knitting and Suitcasemagazines, and the Google Cloud blog. She’s also a Vogue Knitting cover model. Trinette is Harper’s Bazaar’s first Fabulous At Every Age grand prize winner, and has been featured in Marie Claire, Glamour, and on the Today Show, among other outlets. She’s also worked in the entertainment business, notably as the personal assistant to Matt Damon, and is working on her first screenplay.

On this season of My Time, My Life, Trinette speaks with creative entrepreneurs, writers, business owners, entertainers, and others, about being bold and courageous, taking risks, and overcoming obstacles, all in the name of chasing dreams and building a career.
