Ulises Caloz’s self-produced debut album, “9 years” in the making, presents us with 12 original pop/rock tracks filled with powerful lyrics and instantly appealing melodies. Featuring some of Miami’s finest musical talents, this album elevates the familiar sounds of today’s mainstream latin music to a new level. In songs like “Que Se Sentira” (What does it feel) a beatleish styled ballad produced alongside well re-known latin producer and artist *MonteRosa*, you will undoubtely connect with the nostalgic behind many of Ulises Caloz’s songs. “Te Estoy Rogando ” (I Am Begging You), an uptempo track that dweels on the desperation for forgiveness of a man’s human imperfections which has cost him the love of his life. With his independent release of “9 years”, Ulises celebrates the latin pop/rock music that has influenced him since his early years growing up in his natal Cali, Colombia and pays tribute to all those who with hard-work and perseverence are able to bring to an audience the magic of their craft. http://www.ulisescaloz.com Esta cancion esta dedicada a todos los pueblos que han sangrado a causa de la violencia, en particular mi amada tierra Colombiana que aun se desangra sin setido. Song for peace and forgiveness in Colombia and the world by singer songwriter Ulises Caloz, the name of the song is Violeta, inspired in the worlds of the american writer Mark Twain: Forgiveness is the fragance that the violet sheds on the heel that has crushed it.

Radio Happy Hour started in June 2009 with a monthly residency at the NYC’s (Le) Poisson Rouge. Radio Happy Hour is a live-mystery-meets-late-night-talk-show, that engages guest stars in wildly right-angled conversations that careen between interviews, performances, and an audience quiz show. At the center of the show is an old-time radio murder mystery/comedy, where the guest star is written into the storyline as him or herself. Past shows have seen Norah Jones as a motel manager; Michael Showalter as the host of his very own cable fitness show; Andrew W.K. as the iconic John Bender character from The Breakfast Club; Tunde Adebimpe (TV on the Radio) as the founder of a wilderness camp for ineffectual men; Kumail Nanjiani as a ventriloquist with a southern dummy; Craig Finn & Tad Kubler (The Hold Steady) as brothers and Chuck Klosterman as their dad on a doomed road trip to a small town called Manhattan, Minnesota. (New podcasts come out monthly, despite the fact that the dates are mixed up on the iTunes feed.)
