Wir beginnen den ersten Teil unseres Programms mit dem Internationalen Tag der Pressefreiheit, der jedes Jahr am 3. Mai begangen wird. Als Nächstes sprechen wir über einen Bericht eines medizinischen Experten in Frankreich, aus dem hervorgeht, dass das Coronavirus bereits am 27. Dezember im Land war. Danach diskutieren wir über soziale Distanzierung und darüber, wie sicher die Zwei-Meter-Regel ist. Und schließlich werden wir über Belgien sprechen, wo die Einwohner aufgefordert wurden, mehr Pommes Frites zu essen, um den dortigen Kartoffelbauern zu helfen.
Wir werden darüber sprechen, dass inzwischen alle deutschen Bundesländer Gesetze verabschiedet haben, die das Tragen von Gesichtsmasken beim Benutzen der öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel oder beim Einkaufen vorschreiben. In den meisten Bundesländern trat das Gesetz bereits am 27. April in Kraft und jetzt schließlich auch in Bremen und Berlin. Unsere zweite Story beschäftigt sich damit, dass Deutschland Aktivitäten der israelfeindlichen Organisation „Hisbollah“ in Deutschland verboten hat und Razzien durchführt. Die USA und Israel haben diese Entscheidung gelobt.

The plot of the play is simple. Valerie, our French tutor, gives one-on-one lessons to beginner students. Valerie has three rules for her students:
1. Complete the assigned lesson on the website and memorize new vocabulary on the flashcards before coming in for one-on-one studies.
2. You can talk about anything, as long as you employ grammar introduced in the lesson.
3. Don’t be afraid to switch to English if you don’t know how to say something in French – but switch back to French as soon as you can!
Follow our heroes from Act 1, with conversation mostly in English, to Act 30, where they speak mostly French!
Together with Valerie’s colorful students, you will learn the fundamentals of French grammar and expressions. Your vocabulary will expand rapidly and naturally, and your comprehension skills will improve dramatically.

Nous commencerons notre programme par un passage en revue de quelques évènements de l’actualité de cette semaine. Tout d’abord, nous commenterons le projet de la Chine, annoncé lors du Congrès populaire national annuel à Beijing, d’augmenter ses dépenses de défense tout en se fixant un objectif modeste de croissance économique pour 2023. Ensuite, nous discuterons de la décision de la Commission européenne d’interdire à ses employés d’utiliser l’application du réseau social chinois TikTok sur leurs appareils professionnels. Puis, dans la partie scientifique de notre émission, nous discuterons d’une étude publiée dans la revue Science Advances indiquant que les chiens qui vivent autour de Tchernobyl ont un profil génétique différent de celui des autres chiens. Enfin, nous commenterons l’émission par l’Ukraine d’un timbre représentant une peinture murale réalisée par l’artiste britannique Banksy.
Poursuivons avec la deuxième partie de notre émission, « Trending in France ». Nous parlerons des inquiétudes suscitées par le « Mars rouge » et pour finir, nous discuterons des initiatives prises en France lors de la journée internationale des femmes.

In primo luogo, commenteremo il piano della Cina, annunciato durante l’annuale Congresso Nazionale del Popolo a Pechino, di aumentare la spesa per la difesa militare, e di fissare un obiettivo di bassa crescita economica per il 2023. Successivamente, discuteremo della decisione, presa dalla Commissione Europea, di vietare ai propri dipendenti l’utilizzo dell’app di social media TikTok, di proprietà cinese, sui dispositivi utilizzati al lavoro. Quindi, nella parte scientifica del nostro programma, discuteremo di uno studio pubblicato sulla rivista Science, secondo il quale i cani che vivono intorno a Chernobyl sono geneticamente diversi rispetto agli altri cani. Infine, commenteremo l’emissione di un nuovo francobollo ucraino, raffigurante un murale dipinto dall’artista britannico Banksy.
Continuiamo con la seconda parte del nostro programma, Trending in Italy. Discuteremo innanzitutto della crisi del Partito Democratico (PD) e della sua nuova leader Elly Schlein, la cui elezione a sorpresa alle primarie ha destato molto clamore.
