“Trope or Treat” and similar random podcasts
In Trope or Treat, join two horror cinema fans, Beth-Elle and Chris, as they breakdown and discuss a scary movie based on its originality, use of tropes, and overall cinematic quality. Each episode will cover a scary movie in its entirety (yes, with SPOILERS!) and will end with giving the movie a “Trope” (unoriginal, tropey, money grab) or “Treat” (original, lasting impact, worth a watch) classification and a rating out of 10. Come for the discussion, stay for the Spongebob and Office references.
In this week’s episode, Beth and Chris discuss 2018’s Hell Fest! This is Six Flag’s Fright Fest horror movie style. Does it pass Beth and Chris’s standards? How innovative is the killer himself? Are the main protagonists relatable? Tune in and find out!
