    POD to the Rescue

    by

    Since Mar 29, 2021 18:33 UTC

Our society has a mythologically-based approach to bringing companion pets into our homes, which can lead to all sorts of conflicts, and sadly, failed adoptions. This podcast is for dog rescues, fosters, adopters, and dog lovers desiring to smooth out the bumps of adoption and rescue. Hosts Emily and Libby provide evidence-based information on how to assimilate dogs into our human lifestyles in a way that is a positive experience for all species involved. Emily is a certified professional dog trainer; and between them Libby and Emily have over 2 decades rescuing dogs (and a few cats!). Four Max Carrados Detective Stories by Ernest Bramah

Four Max Carrados Detective Stories by Ernest Bramah

    by

    Since Oct 20, 2020 00:00 UTC

Ernest Bramah is mainly known for his ‘Kai Lung’ books – Dorothy L Sayers often used quotes from them for her chapter headings. In his lifetime however he was equally well known for his detective stories. Since Sherlock Holmes we have had French detectives, Belgian detectives, aristocratic detectives, royal detectives, ecclesiastical detectives, drunken detectives and even a (very) few quite normal happily married detectives. Max Carrados was however probably the first blind detective. More great books at LoyalBooks.com

    Singularity

    Singularity

    by

    Since Mar 13, 2006 00:30 UTC

What if the cataclysmic Tunguska explosion of 1908 was caused, not by a meteor or a comet, but by a microscopic black hole? What if that fantastic object – smaller than an atom, older than the stars, heavier than a mountain – is still down there, orbiting deep inside the earth, slowly consuming the planet? What if only a rookie government agent and an uncannily-insightful consultant stand between a renegade Russian billionaire and his plans to use the black hole to change history – or end it? What if it’s all true? For an alternative view of the Tunguska event and to explore the science behind Singularity, visit the Vurdalak Conjecture website. Accolades Winner of the Gold Medal for Science Fiction in Foreword Magazine’s Book of the Year Awards Winner of the Independent Publishers Association’s Ippy prize for Best Fantasy/Science Fiction novel of 2004 “Singularity is a swift, gripping novel with a goose-pimple mix of scary science and near-future action. An excellent debut from Bill DeSmedt – and I’ll be looking forward to his next one!” – Greg Bear, Hugo and Nebula award-winning author “DeSmedt veers an action-packed thriller into perilous realms of black hole physics. The combination of adrenaline and intellect sizzles.” – David Brin, Hugo and Nebula award-winning author

She currently runs The Founding Moms, the #1 platform for mom entrepreneurs to build better businesses. Over the years, she’s tried a million trillion quadrillion different things to grow her companies and wants to save you some time and a few headaches.
