    Just A Podcast

    Just A Podcast

    by

    Since Mar 15, 2021 02:00 UTC

YowKno.com is a podcast and entertainment network focused on Jesus Christ as we grow further together. We all have struggles and we won’t hide ours. We are not your normal Christian network that focuses on everyone else beside us. Rather we strive for bettering ourselves and in that process, hope people can learn from our own achievements. Our podcasts is really “Just A Podcast.” It may grow into something big, it may be God’s calling for those who serve God through it, and it may point others to Christ who is the way to Salvation. But ultimately our podcasts is apart of the world too. Just like a phone, or mouths; it can be used for Good, and it can also be used for evil. So in correlation to God’s prescribed will, may we choose him over us. We won’t make a false statement saying everyday we pray that this be God’s will because we understand that it is. But in gratitude of this spiritual gift we say that we are all sinners, and somethings said may be wrong. And that’s okay. Keeping God first will allow truth to prevail as God is truth. We know God never made humans to understand everything, but rather a willingness to understand what we can. So with eagerness let’s seek Christ together. Amen! 10 Things You Should Know about Stakeholder Capitalism

10 Things You Should Know about Stakeholder Capitalism

    by

    Since Sep 13, 2020 09:00 UTC

In 2019, the Business Roundtable announced that the purpose of business was no longer to maximize profits for shareholders. The new purpose of business would be to maximize value for stakeholders. While the announcement was applauded by many, charges of hypocrisy quickly followed as the practices of many Business Roundtable member companies suddenly seemed to contradict the new more egalitarian purpose they had proclaimed. A year later, if anything is becoming clear, it is that what the world is coming to know as ā€œstakeholder capitalismā€, lacks a clear definition against which to assess the performance of a firm, or even an economy. This lack of definition is not the result of a lack of attempts. For years a wide variety of thought leaders and pioneering practitioners have been refining models and frameworks to define a new paradigm for business. But none has broken into the mainstream. In response to this situation, a team comprised of members from a variety of organizations working within the ā€œbusiness as a force for goodā€ movement attempted to create a common definition of the end-state they were all working to achieve. Their work resulted in a brand-agnostic framework, endorsed by all, that identified six essential competencies of a business in the new paradigm. In 10 binge-able episodes, this podcast will introduce, illustrate and popularize an ambitious and actionable definition for stakeholder capitalism. Producers/Hosts Amanda Kathryn Roman is a life-long convener and builder of infrastructure to scale a wide variety of movements you’ve heard of, and some you have not. Most recently she was the Chief Innovation Office for Conscious Capitalism where she joined the frenzy of activity happening all around the world to catalyze an expanded paradigm of capitalism. In 2018, she and Nathan Havey co-founded the year-long, comprehensive certification program for consultants of Conscious Capitalism Nathan Havey has been a leader of, participant-in content provider for, and strategic consultant to many of the major entities in the ā€œbusiness as a force for good movementā€. A host and storyteller by training and passion, he has produced powerful live storytelling experiences in more than a dozen US cities and he wrote and directed the upcoming feature documentary Beyond Zero, and has been learning and refining a library. Nathan and Amanda believe that each of the stories in this mini-series should be legend in business circles, and yet they are continually shocked to meet people, including some of the celebrity-status thought leaders and pioneering practitioners in their circles are unaware that these stories exist. That must change.

    Old People Having Fun

    Old People Having Fun

    by

    Since Mar 13, 2022 23:44 UTC

This podcast is called ā€œOld People Having Fun.ā€

My name is John Kane. I retired a few years ago and now that I’m not working, I have more free time and I’m spending a lot of it with other old people.

I’ve always stereotyped old people as being kind of grumpy, not particularly friendly, and not particularly happy. Instead, what I’ve found is that, as a group, old people tend to be friendly, easy to get to know, laid back and are all about just enjoying life.

The remarkable thing is that as I’ve hung around these people and gotten to know them, I find that attitude has rubbed off on me. So — I got an idea — it would be nice if more of us could get to know these people a little bit and maybe this fun-loving bug would be infectious.

For that reason, I’m going to introduce you to some of these characters.

Among the many interesting people you’ll meet is a couple in their 70s who have turned their acreage into a spiritual sanctuary that includes a Sacred Stone Circle of prehistoric standing stones. You will also meet a 70-year-old man who makes a living picking up gigs as a one-man band living out of his RV as he travels north in the summer and south in the winter. You will also meet people whose lives appear to be completely ordinary, but for some reason seem to be very happy.

I’m hoping, as you listen to the podcasts, you’ll find yourself doing what these people do, that is as Monty Python says, ā€œAlways look on the bright side of lifeā€.
