    History Is Dank

    History Is Dank

    by

    Since Jun 11, 2020 19:09 UTC

Strider Wilson hosts a podcast delving into history through the perspective of a mature erudite bro. He was one unit away from a history minor at U.C. San Diego, but he does’t let that stop him from examining what it would have been like to be a bro posted up on Bunker Hill or uncovering what the chillest aspect of surrealist art is. Buckle up because Strider will not only venture into humanity’s shared past. He will venture within himself. Asking real questions such as, “exactly how tight are pirates,” or “what if he stayed that extra semester in school,” “would my life have been danker?” Strider firmly believes that history is tight because we all should for sure blaze our own trails… but in what direction?

    Since Jan 18, 2018 17:50 UTC

Listen to actors, educators and writers Toussaint and Joetta for their weekly podcast of current events, life in the audition room, and moments of double consciousness. Questioning authority (and sometimes reality) or biting tongues, the duo reports their lives as performers and how they navigate their way as artists. Hailing from Minneapolis, MN (a city and state with some of the highest racial disparity in education and law enforcement), Double Consciousness also explores the W.E.B. DuBois concept of what it means to have a divided identity and be tried by dominant culture politics and social norms. Double Consciousness is part of Urban Home Companion, and is published weekly on iTunes, SoundCloud, and Stitcher.

    by

    Since Oct 12, 2014 15:00 UTC

“O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.” Psalm 34:8

Do you know that millions of people don’t believe God is good? The devil has convinced them that God has a mean side. But that is a lie! Everything that has ever come out of God is good!

In this series, you will find this simple truth: God is good and does good things all the time, and the devil is bad and does bad things all the time. God and the devil NEVER work together.

Know that God loves you, and everything He has planned for you is GOOD!

    The Way-Back Music Machine Podcast

    by

    Since Mar 15, 2021 00:25 UTC

It’s road trip time! Join Tony Stuart and Aaron Badgley as they cruise the rock and roll highway taking a look at the week that was in rock history. Great stories, lots of laughs and an all-around good time…Hop in the back and join us in The Way-Back Music Machine!

Well, ring out the old and ring in the new.

It is a new year, and a new look for The Way-Back Music Machine. We have reached episode 82!

This year, we thought we would do something a little different.

We will be going through the Week That Was day by day, starting on Sunday.

And, of course, since The Beatles feature prominently in our show and rock and roll history, there has to be an 8th day (“Eight Days A Week”, right?).

This week we explore Bill Haley and His Comets hit “Rock Around The Clock”, talk about South Park (yes, they had a hit), and a salute George Martin and Malcom Young, both of whom have birthdays this week. We also take a look at a poll in Liverpool in 1962, and talk about The Supremes. Finally, on the eighth day we look at a failed audition. Actually it is THE failed audition.

All that plus charts and great conversation between friends on Episode 82 of The Way-Back Music Machine.

Don’t forget to check out the Spotify playlist that goes with this episode!
