Do you want to hear your nerdy best friend/host reference a show you heard about from “that guy” at work who leers at the water cooler? Maybe you just need to kill an hour. If any of this is true, welcome to Monster of the Week. My name is Jonah Katz and I’ll be your host. Every week I will bring you a one-hour discussion about anything, with a friend of mine or anyone else kind enough to kill an hour with me. The only question left is why are you still reading this when you could be listening to Monster of the Week!

All the callers and guests are played by Martin, via the elaborate editing and sound design of fellow ‘Get This’ veteran Dower. Spiritual Living Podcast

    Spiritual Living Podcast

    by

    Since Jul 13, 2008 18:30 UTC

We are a spiritual community that blesses all teachings and all spiritual teachers. We know that there is no wrong way to worship, whether it be lighting a candle, facing the east, burning incense, repeating a mantra, lighting a menorah, or offering prayer. We respect all the ways there are to draw closer to Spirit, for even though there may appear to be great differences in the path, the destination is the same. — As an expression of our community, this podcast offers you weekly messages on the principles and practice of spiritual living delivered by Dr. Patrick Cameron and various guest speakers. We are the Centre for Spiritual Living in Edmonton, Alberta.

The three things that people are most afraid of are death, other people, and their own minds.

The Buddha said this, “All we are is the result of what we have thought. It is founded on our thought. It is made up of our thought. If a man speaks or acts with an evil thought, pain follows him, as the wheel follows the foot of the ox that draws the carriage.

“All we are is the result of what we have thought. It is founded on our thought. It is made up of our thought. If a man speaks or acts with a pure thought, happiness follows him, like a shadow that never leaves him.”

So if we’re miserable, what do we do? If we’re unhappy or suffering, what do we do? The answer here is clear.
