    You Should Watch This

    by

    Since Aug 18, 2018 23:00 UTC

Each episode, one of the boys presents an overlooked film they love, and tries to convince the other of its misunderstood genius. The two debate its merits and discuss how it was made and whether it belongs in the pantheon of cinematic greats. You Should Watch This with Ed and Simon began as a series of drunken conversations between two film-loving friends who were constantly recommending forgotten and unloved movies to each other. With the help of sound, editing and music maestro David, a podcast was born. Season 1 introduces us to eight unique, brilliant films and Season 2 is coming hot on its heels to bring even more recommendations for unmissable films into your life.

    Garaaga’s Children – Volume 1

    Garaaga’s Children – Volume 1

    by

    Since May 15, 2011 10:30 UTC

From prehistoric time to the present, one blood line has endured. Garaaga’s children range from the Indus Valley to Mesopotamia to Jerusalem and beyond, influencing ancient civilizations, mighty crusades, and everyday lives. The stories of the god Garaaga, his half-human progeny, and their supplicants have been passed down through the generations. Leaving a frightful, lustful, body-strewn trail through the ages, Garaaga’s children and worshipers have survived to spread their religion around the world. These are their histories โ€“ Garaaga’s Children. Written by Paul Elard Cooley, the 2010-2011 Podcast Award Nominated author of Canvas, Tattoo, Closet Treats, and Stuffing.

Career Insights a podcast series brought to you by the British Beauty Council

Career Insights a podcast series brought to you by the British Beauty Council

    by

    Since Feb 26, 2021 17:17 UTC

The negative impact of the pandemic on students and those aspiring to a career in the beauty industry has been huge. Many in the industry have been furloughed or laid off, while those studying for a career in the beauty industry have had to continue their studies online. Universities and colleges across the UK are planning to deliver a virtual curriculum, with little if any face-to-face contact. This will make motivation more challenging, particularly with less exposure to industry guest lecturers, who normally provide inspiration to students during their studies.

In response to these issues, the British Beauty Council is launching a podcast series featuring interviews with some of the biggest names in the hair and beauty industry to discover how they have got to where they are today. From key lessons learnt along the way, to what advice they would give their younger selves, this podcast series aims to educate and motivate those starting out in the industry or wanting a career change.

“Becoming Barnum: The Journey to Fame and Fortune” is a podcast presented by The Barnum Museum in Bridgeport, Connecticut. The podcast is based on the museum’s award-winning blog series and explores the life of P.T. Barnum through a collection of 750-page copybook letters written by Barnum during his travels in Europe in the 1840s. The letters offer insights into Barnum as a husband, father, and businessman, as well as his mentorship of child actor-entertainer General Tom Thumb. The podcast explores the hardscrabble world of show business in the 19th century and offers a glimpse into the life and mind of the man behind the legend. Support for this project is provided by the City of Bridgeport, Peopleโ€™s United, and the Connecticut Humanities and National Endowment for the Humanities. Join us on this journey through history and discover the real person behind the legendary “P.T. Barnum.” Listen to our episodes and follow along as we uncover the fascinating story of Barnum’s rise to fame and fortune.
