A New Spin on Autism: Answers! – Lynette Louise

A New Spin on Autism: Answers! – Lynette Louise

    by

    Since Jun 5, 2011 05:01 UTC

Global autism expert Lynette Louise aka The Brain Broad raised eight children. Six of her children were adopted and four of those were on the autism spectrum. Lynette prioritized raising her children into functional adults and succeeded despite her five broken marriages. According to Lynette “I would get married in the hopes that someone would save me. That doesn’t work by the way. In the end I focused on saving my kids and saved myself in the process.” Lynette was able to guide all but one off the spectrum and into lives of independence.

When asked about her secret Lynette says, “Well, I laugh a lot. I see autism as adorable and quirky and since laughter is just joy percolating it heals. After all when you percolate joy you can’t help but save a few lives. Isn’t the very definition of saving a life taking it from misery to joyfulness?”

Lynette travels internationally performing and speaking on the subject of autism and the efficacy of neurofeedback (biofeedback for the brain) administered with joyfulness. Offering a playful therapy of fun, family dynamics counseling and neurofeedback– she effectively helps parents become confident experts in their family’s healing. She is the author of three books, all inspiring and refreshingly honest, some at times hilarious. The WingMaker, MIRACLES ARE MADE: A Real Life Guide to Autism and JEFF: A sexually realized spiritual odyssey of stepping into love.

Presently Lynette is host of our popular podcast: A New Spin On Autism: ANSWERS! and the web series FIX IT IN FIVE with The Brain Broad on The Autism Channel! She is also is working on her PhD in Clinical Psychology with a specialty in Psychophysiology at Saybrook University. Lynette holds a computer degree and is doubly board certified in Neurofeedback.

Early History of the Airplane, The by WRIGHT, Orville and WRIGHT, Wilbur

Early History of the Airplane, The by WRIGHT, Orville and WRIGHT, Wilbur

    by

    Since Jan 1, 1970 00:00 UTC

The Brothers Orville and Wilbur Wright made the first controlled, powered and sustained heavier-than-air flight, on 17th December 1903. They were not the first to build and fly aircraft, but they invented the controls that were necessary for a pilot to steer the aircraft, which made fixed wing powered flight possible. The Early History of the Airplane consists of three short essays about the beginnings of human flight. The second essay retells the first flight: This flight lasted only 12 seconds, but it was nevertheless the first in the history of the world in which a machine carrying a man had raised itself by its own power into the air in full flight, had sailed forward without reduction of speed and had finally landed at a point as high as that from which it started. Back to Methuselah by George Bernard Shaw (1856 – 1950)

Back to Methuselah by George Bernard Shaw (1856 – 1950)

    by

    Since Jul 16, 2023 07:10 UTC

In this late work, Shaw examines many contemporary issues under the broad rubric of evolution and then illustrates his opinions in five brief plays set in widely separated historical periods, beginning in the Garden of Eden and ending in the year 31,920 A.D. The unifying principle in this historical survey is the notion that the survival of humankind depends on increasing our lifespan to at least 300 years, a period permitting us to grow to maturity. The ultimate question that the mature cast of characters grapple with is what is to be the next significant step in evolution. Mere longevity simply enables them to ask this question. We see in the final play the beginning of the answer: first, escape from the social experiment, which began with Cain, a long and toilsome journey towards anarchy, and then gradual liberation from the grossness of physical imperfection and at last from bondage to flesh itself into immortality. What might lie beyond that, the author leaves to the imagination. – Summary by Thomas A. Copeland
