    Parent Trapped

    Parent Trapped

    by

    Since Apr 29, 2020 22:57 UTC

The coronavirus pandemic has turned our lives upside down. Parent Trapped is here to help. Each week, host Ann Marie Baldonado checks in with authors, educators, and celebrities to bring you real-world stories and tips. You’ll hear from experts and listeners on everything from juggling work and school with kids at home to awesome pillow fort designs (!) and great family movies. Common Sense created Parent Trapped to capture parents’ candid stories and moments when reality meets (comic) relief. Because, let’s face it: Raising kids in quarantine is a challenge none of us saw coming.

    What The Parent?

    What The Parent?

    by

    Since Jan 12, 2021 23:00 UTC

We’re not your average parenting podcast. And we don’t have your average guests. We interview zookeepers (because talking to our teens sometimes feels like trying to wrestle a lion in its habitat), ringside announcers (aren’t parents everywhere taking one on the chin?), FBI hostage negotiators (to help us successfully negotiate a clean room), and many more. Because parenting is hard, and we want to make it easier with any advice we can get.

    Day of the Dad

    Day of the Dad

    by

    Since Feb 23, 2017 00:00 UTC

Share in the joys, nightmares and sheer absurdities of parenting with two dads and bunch of special guests. Keith Stuart is the author of the Richard and Judy Book Club bestselling novel A Boy Made of Blocks, as well as games editor for the Guardian; Ed Wood is a book editor and former journalist. They both have autistic sons, they both like a chat about books, games and films, and they both have very little filter for talking nonsense about what it’s like to be a dad.

How Not to Screw Up Your Kids

How Not to Screw Up Your Kids

    by

    Since Jun 10, 2021 11:49 UTC

The How Not To Screw Up Your Kids podcast is for parents, grandparents, educators, and anyone else who wants to be part of a movement to raise confident children who grow up believing in themselves. With twice weekly episodes – on Monday’s you’ll find shorter Bucket Emptying episodes, with longer episodes each Thursday. The greatest gift we can give our children is self-belief. It will get them further in life than any qualification and is absolutely possible for each and every child; we just need the right information and support around us to teach them. The old saying ‘it takes a village to raise a child” couldn’t be more true than now. Parenting has got a whole lot harder; not just because we are busier than ever but because our children are growing up in an ever changing, fast-paced world, which is so different to the one we grew up in. Our children have more pressure to be better, look better, do better, and in a world where lives are so publicly scrutinised and commented on through social media it’s really no wonder we’re seeing mental health problems sky rocketing amongst children, teens, and young adults. What you can expect from this podcast are honest conversations about parenting. We’ll talk confidence resilience, anxiety, managing tech, and all the topics you’d expect as well blowing the lid off the widely help misconception that children are innately resilient. They’re not! This podcast is for people who want to get real about parenting. You understand it can get messy sometimes and aren’t afraid to admit it. I have had more than my fair share of messy and I will no doubt share these with you along the way. I won’t dress things up but I will always give you something practical to take away and use in each and every episode. My guests and experts will be real people who have overcome their own adversities and bring with them a message to us as parents, as well as inspiring stories. So pour yourself a cuppa, find a comfy seat, and enjoy the conversation.

    No Trigger Warnings

    No Trigger Warnings

    by

    Since Mar 28, 2022 06:08 UTC

Hello! No Trigger Warnings podcast is a safe place for women to share their journeys trying to conceive with advanced maternal age. From sex and relationships, miscarriages and medications to IVF protocols and red light therapy. The struggle is very real and extremely isolating. Sometimes trying to conceive turns into trying to adopt, or trying to heal and move on, or trying to grapple with the emotions and logistics of using donor oocytes, sperm or embryos. Sometimes it means needing a gestational carrier, like myself. Infertility can be caused by damage to sperm, oocytes or both. It can be due to physical and anatomical abnormalities and/or hormonal irregularities in both sexes, such as PCOS in women and low testosterone in men. Infertility can present itself as repeat implantation failure, repeat pregnancy loss and still births, high-risk pregnancies… this is not an exhaustive list. Infertility, whether due to age or something else, can lead to serious trauma-related mental health disorders such as complex PTSD, perpetual grief, depression and anxiety. Infertility robs you of the ability to feel joy or peace by casting a dark shadow over your life. When you reach the “geriatric mark,” things get touch. When you reach 40, things get crazy! You are often given abysmal odds, little hope of success and made to feel like an absolute nutjob for wanting to have a baby at “your age.” If you are struggling to conceive with advanced maternal age, please know that you are not alone. “Get A Womb” is a podcast created by myself, an older mom, and I am also on this journey. I am the author of No Trigger Warnings Blog where I write articles on supplements, methods, protocols, research… all things TTC with AMA! www.notriggerwarnings.com – Subscribe so you get the information YOU need to know! If you would like to share your story, whether you have been successful yet or not, no matter the way in which you are conceiving, please contact me at ttc40plus@gmail.com Instagram: @no.trigger.warnings
