    Nevertheless, She Persisted

    by

    Since Jul 11, 2019 06:45 UTC

She Persisted is THE teen mental health podcast—made for teens, by a teen. In each episode, Sadie brings you authentic, accessible, relatable conversations about every aspect of mental wellness. Expect evidence-based, teen-approved resources, coping skills (lots of DBT), insights, and education in each piece of content you consume. She Persisted offers you a safe space to feel validated and understood in your struggle while encouraging you to take ownership of your journey and build your life worth living. She Persisted host Sadie Sutton is a 19-year-old aspiring clinical psychologist at the University of Pennsylvania. At 14 Sadie underwent a year and a half of intensive treatment (3East McLean Hospital + a therapeutic boarding school) for severe depression and anxiety. Compelled to share her wisdom and tips from her journey, She Persisted was born. A firm believer that if we’re not progressing, we’re regressing, Sadie is always looking for ways to expand her mental health toolbox and broaden her perspective on the world—and of course, bringing you along for the journey. Luke Slaughter of Tombstone – OTRWesterns.com

Luke Slaughter of Tombstone – OTRWesterns.com

    by

    Since Jan 7, 2023 20:17 UTC

CBS started the year 1958 off with the introduction on 01/29/58 of Frontier Gentleman. That series lasted 41 broadcasts. Near the end of the year, the network launched Have Gun, Will Travel on 11/23/58, which continued for 106 programs. In between, a very short series was offered and discontinued after only 16 broadcasts, Luke Slaughter Of Tombstone. Sam Buffington starred as Luke Slaughter, a Civil War cavalryman who turned to cattle ranching in post war Arizona territory near Fort Huachuca. William N. Robson, known from his work with such series as ESCAPE, SUSPENSE and THE CBS
    RADIO WORKSHOP, directed.

Sam Buffington enacted the title role on Luke Slaughter of Tombstone, another of CBS’s prestigious adult Westerns. The series was produced and directed by William N. Robson, one of radio’s greatest dramatic directors and Robert Stanley producer was aired from February 23 through June 15, 1958. Buffington portrayed the hard-boiled cattleman with scripts overseen by Gunsmoke sound effects artist (and sometimes scriptwriter) Tom Hanley.
Each program had an authoritative opening statement: “Slaughter’s my name, Luke Slaughter. Cattle’s my business. It’s a tough business, it’s a big business. I got a big stake in it. And there’s no man west of the Rio Grande big enough to take it away from me.” Junius Matthews was heard as Slaughter’s sidekick, Wichita.

In his first adventure, tough-as-nails westerner Luke Slaughter guarantees he will bring a cattle herd to Tombstone despite the threats of rustlers and a spy among the ranks of his cowboys. Like the other CBS radio westerns, HAVE GUN, WILL TRAVEL or FRONTIER GENTLEMAN, this one had plenty of action, the productions were well done and well acted. LUKE SLAUGHTER was cut short, like a lot of
other radio shows, by the steady pressure from TV.

This CBS western series was only a short 16 broadcasts before ending.

How can you manage the juggle of being a mum and having a career? Welcome to the Working Mumma podcast to support your transition from maternity leave to working mum and beyond so you can thrive in motherhood and a career. I’m your host, Carina O’Brien, founder of Working Mumma and fellow working mum with 2 young boys. Join me each episode as I explore life returning to work after maternity leave and as a working mum with a mix of solo episodes, amazing interviews with experts, and women sharing their experiences of juggling life and motherhood. Each episode is focused on supporting women to have the resources, mindset, tools, and confidence to support you in successfully managing the juggle. As a working mum, I know it can feel lonely and isolating in wanting to have a career and be a mum. There is a lot of support out there relating to pregnancy and when we first have a baby. The next big phase is returning to work and juggling motherhood and career, but often we feel alone and unsupported in our quest to ‘have it all’. This leads us to doubting ourselves and our decisions. On the Working Mummast podcast, we help give you the tools, support & confidence so you can work, have a career and be a mum – you can have both. Continue the conversation on Instagram @workingmummacommunity or LinkedIn https://www.linkedin.com/company/working-mumma/, access free resources https://workingmumma.com.au or join the Working Mumma Village membership https://workingmumma.com.au/working-mumma-village/. by

    Since Sep 9, 2020 07:00 UTC

What do you do when “happily ever after” blows up in your face?
For me, I decided to break the cycle of silence and share my awkward story of infidelity, separation and making marriage work after betrayal. Join me each week as I explore the pain and pleasure of second chances. It’s time to WAKE UP or BREAK UP!
Note from the host: The stories shared on this podcast are real, and the outcomes will vary from person to person. I’m not here you give you the magic formula to fix broken relationships (I don’t know if one exists). I’m here to encourage you to seek support (socially, emotionally, psychologically), to deeply explore your thoughts and emotions, and to find meaningful ways to process and move forward from your experience. Healing and forgiveness take time, and they are not always complete. Be patient with yourself and your process. Good luck beautiful listener! ❤️
