    ParentingMontana.org Tools for Your 5-Year-Old

    by

    Since Feb 1, 2021 15:00 UTC

Your five-year-old is growing so fast and is demonstrating more independence each day. They may no longer look like a toddler, yet they still need your support just as much as they did when they were smaller. Your child needs to practice and build their skills in listening, empathy, communication, and problem solving in order to thrive in school and in life. Now is the right time for parents and those in a parenting role to continue to cultivate a trusting relationship with their child in order to support them as they grow. The tools available in this podcast from ParentingMontana.org will give you the knowledge to do small things right now to support your five-year-old in strengthening communication, building relationships, and developing social and emotional skills. ParentingMontana.org provides parents and those in a parenting role a process and tools to teach their children to be confident, respectful, and to make healthy choices. These tools available to you through this podcast were originally developed for parents in Montana, yet they are relevant and applicable for parents everywhere. The Montana Department of Health and Human Services joined with the Center for Health and Safety Culture at Montana State University to promote healthy mental, emotional, and behavioral development through the resources available on ParentingMontana.org. This podcast will give you access to parenting tools that follow a five-step process: Gain Input, Teach, Practice, Support, and Recognize. Using this process builds a strong relationship with your child as you address specific parenting topics. Building your confidence with the tools available from ParentingMontana.org will allow you to use the same process to positively support your child in future stages of life as they grow. Parents and those in a parenting role want what is best for their child, and it is not easy to navigate all of the twists and turns on the parenting journey. Building your skills will allow you to parent with confidence, empathy, and love. Take the time to invest in yourself as a parent now and your child will benefit for a lifetime. The specific tools available in this podcast for supporting your five-year old include: Anger, Back Talk, Bullying, Chores, Confidence, Conflict, Discipline, Friends, Homework, Listening, Lying, Tantrums, Mixed Messages About Alcohol, Reading, Routines, Sharing, and Stress. Listen now to continue growing your relationship with your five-year-old today

    Bottle Ship Adventures

    Bottle Ship Adventures

    by

    Since Jun 1, 2020 09:00 UTC

Nominated for Best Family Podcast at the British Podcast Awards 2021 & 2022. Bottle Ship Adventures is a series of stand-alone stories set in the magical land of Dilstonia where little creatures called The Jifflings live on their little Jiffling ship. All the things we humans lose or throw away end up in Dilstonia, and The Jifflings find these lost objects and fish them out of their sea so they can work together to find a new use for them. Each object has a story of how it ended up in Dilstonia and each story helps The Jifflings, and the audience, to learn a new lesson. The show is about recycling and re-using things and has lots of humour and friendship at it’s heart. Bottle Ship Adventures is for children aged 4-10 years old but if you’re older and enjoy it too, good for you!

This is the podcast for moms who don’t have time for podcasts. You’re a mom in the middle. Maybe that’s midlife, midday, or mid-mess. You’re in the middle years of motherhood but also wondering what comes next. Indiana Adams is there, too. She’s been a trusted voice on the internet for 25 years and this podcast is like a quick phone call, catching up with an old friend. Each episode of My Internet Besties aims to be around 20-minutes; that’s just enough time to share recommendations, laugh at the ridiculous things we see online, and cheer each other on. This short and sweet podcast just became your new best friend.

Our Modern Heritage: The Home & Family Culture Podcast

    by

    Since Apr 3, 2018 13:00 UTC

Family Culture is all about blending your individual and collective values and norms to create an interrelated unit. Every family has a culture whether by design or by default. Most of us are unaware of our social conditioning until it is mirrored back to us by our kids. The Family Culture Movement is a show about breaking up with the dominant culture to raise a family with unwavering resilience, calling out dysfunctional patterns, and cultivating an environment of growth and trust. Join me, Jodi Chaffee, every week with guests from a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences to bring you practical insights, powerful tools, and reliable resources for navigating your family culture journey with intention and compassion. We’re here to support you in implementing best practices and solutions for your family. Everything will be on the table as I discuss topics ranging from media literacy to financial literacy, normalizing sexual health to normalizing family dinners, homeschool, entrepreneurship, and much, much more. Formerly, Our Modern Heritage: The Home & Family Culture Podcast.
