    Where Do We Begin

    Where Do We Begin

    by

    Since Dec 30, 2019 11:00 UTC

‘Where Do We Begin’ podcast explores all aspects of the Black identity through the purposeful telling of Black stories. Covering a broad range of topics, from the bible and black churches, to voodoo and spirituality, to Relationships and sex, Where Do We Begin Podcasts strings together all the missing puzzle pieces of the Black experience. Hosted by JayLink and RedSnapper, episodes are roughly 15 to 30 minutes and follow several themes, like Twisted Tuesdays that explores global injustices, and Thank God it’s Friday that explores wellness and mental health. What began with RedSnapper dishing out advice for her friends on Snapchat grew into a full-blown, and impossibly catchy, passion project for the duo. Come immerse yourself each day with (MYBM) Mind your Business Mondays to help begin your week. Twisted Tuesdays to educate you on twisted happenings across the globe. Hump Day Wednesday, where sex talk is necessary. Thankful Thursdays, are you relieved that tomorrow is Friday or Nah? (TGIF) Thank God it’s Friday, where we detox from the week? Weekend is that you? Spiritual Saturday, what is your relationship with the Creator like? If that’s not enough we have Sunday Summaries, get your mind right to do it all over again.

William the Conqueror by Jacob Abbott

William the Conqueror by Jacob Abbott

    by

    Since Dec 22, 2023 00:00 UTC

There are certain names which are familiar, as names, to all mankind; and every person who seeks for any degree of mental cultivation, feels desirous of informing himself of the leading outlines of their history, that he may know, in brief, what it was in their characters or their doings which has given them so widely-extended a fame. Consequently, great historical names alone are selected; and it has been the writer’s aim to present the prominent and leading traits in their characters, and all the important events in their lives, in a bold and free manner, and yet in the plain and simple language which is so obviously required in works which aim at permanent and practical usefulness. This volume is dedicated to William the Conqueror.

Have a heart for wildlife? Love the world’s wild places? Then Wild Life! Wild Places! is the show for you. Host Donna Hailson will inform and inspire you in your efforts to conserve and preserve. Donna is a multi-award-winning author, educator, nature guide, photographer, and blogger, who has been on the road since 2010. Along the way her companions have been park rangers; wildlife biologists; dark sky protectors; eco-tourism professionals; authors; photographers and other artists; journalists; animal control officers; leaders of wildlife foundations; veterinarians; animal curators in wildlife sanctuaries, rehabilitation centers, and zoos; and other conservationists who are devoting their lives to the protection and preservation of the world’s wild creatures and wild spaces.

Donna brings this knowledge base alongside a heart eager to see wiser stewardship of the Earth. She hopes this program will educate and motivate others toward a more passionate engagement in practical conservation efforts wherever they are undertaken.

Each show opens with a feature story on wildlife and/or a wild place and ends with Nature News. Both segments are centered on current and creative efforts being expended towards preserving, conserving, and advocating for wildlife and wild habitats in national parks, wilderness settings, sanctuaries, and other naturescapes around the world.
