    Band Of Bearded Brothers

    Band Of Bearded Brothers

    by

    Since Dec 16, 2019 07:00 UTC

We are just two brothers with beards who enjoy good conversation, coffee and debating the great mysteries of the world. This includes but is not limited to Politics, Aliens, Reality, Human Control and Manipulation through many outlets. Are you sure your reality is real, are you sure what you believe to be truth is true? Will we be a multi planet species soon? Will A.I. rule the world in the next ten years? Will we be able to live through our consciousness being downloaded for hundreds of years to come? Are we already part cyborgs and unaware? These among many other things will be discussed with a light hearted and open minded process that focuses on facts when they are available. Obviously with the fringe topics there will be mainly hypotheses and facts where they present themselves. Proceed with caution, you may not be able to handle the truth.

    by

    Since Jun 11, 2017 06:51 UTC

There are hundreds of Doctor Who episodes and stories out there and we intend to watch them all! Not just that – We’ll watch, review, discuss, debate, rate and praise and/or poke holes in every episode of Doctor Who, starting with the 1963 pilot. That’s right; we’re beginning with William Hartnell and then working our way forward through time, episode by episode and Doctor by Doctor. In parallel, we’re also reviewing New Who, starting with Eccleston in the 2005 revival. At the time of writing this, we’re already well into the Tom Baker and Peter Capaldi eras!
From comparing Dalek and Cybermen military strategems to ranking companions by hairstyle, we’ve got it covered. And while you subscribe to us on iTunes, we’re populating WhoBackWhen.com with written reviews, episode statistics and an ever-growing visual index of aliens, creatures, historical figures and companions that the Doctor meets along the way.

Education is the foundation of successful trading and community/support is the glue that holds it all together. At Band of Traders, our mission is to provide you with educational resources to sharpen your trading skills. Our thriving Discord community is a great source of inspiration, motivation and camaraderie. We are bringing together traders of all levels for no-nonsense insights into the trading world. We don’t sugarcoat the truth because traders must have the ability to evaluate their trades, strategies and emotional states in order to achieve personal growth. That growth is an integral part of becoming a master trader. We believe that we are stronger together, learn more together, and have better trades together. Our weekly Round Table episodes are casual conversations about the week’s trading lessons, educational content, strategies, and all things trading. Our rotation of co-hosts keeps the discussions fresh. Plus, once a month, we’ve got a special treat – a Round Table with expert guests to dive deep into a specific topic. These episodes drop on Mondays. On Thursdays we release our in-depth guest interviews and informative miniseries episodes, all with a focus on trading and trader education. We cover a wide range of topics including stocks and options, FOREX, and futures. Don’t just listen, get involved! Our community members not only share insights, trade ideas, charts and journals, they actively participate in podcast content. Beyond suggesting possible guests, we encourage our listeners to consider recording an episode with us and an expert guest they have questions for. Many of our guests also participate in our Discord discussions, giving traders of all levels opportunities to learn and connect. Are you ready to embrace the true essence of trading? Join us on the True Trading podcast, where we uncover the real world of trading, one episode at a time. Whether you’re just starting out or you’re an experienced trader, we have something for everyone. Explore our episodes, connect with fellow traders, learn from each other’s successes and failures, and grow as we trade together.

    Intel on AI

    Intel on AI

    by

    Since Dec 6, 2018 10:26 UTC

The Intel on AI podcast features interviews with the world’s most interesting AI experts, covering a wide range of topics, including academia, applications, strategy, ethics, policy, entertainment, scientific research, and society’s future. Season 3 is hosted by Amir Khosrowshahi, Ph.D.. Amir is a Vice President at Intel Corporation, co-founder and CTO of Nervana Systems, and a visiting scholar at the Redwood Center for Theoretical Neuroscience at the University of California, Berkeley.

In this episode of Intel on AI host Amir Khosrowshahi talks with Jeff Lichtman about the evolution of technology and mammalian brains.

Jeff Lichtman is the Jeremy R. Knowles Professor of Molecular and Cellular Biology at Harvard. He received an AB from Bowdoin and an M.D. and Ph.D. from Washington University, where he worked for thirty years before moving to Cambridge. He is now a member of Harvard’s Center for Brain Science and director of the Lichtman Lab, which focuses on connectomics— mapping neural connections and understanding their development.

In the podcast episode Jeff talks about why researching the physical structure of brain is so important to advancing science. He goes into detail about Brainbrow—a method he and Joshua Sanes developed to illuminate and trace the “wires” (axons and dendrites) connecting neurons to each other. Amir and Jeff discuss how the academic rivalry between Santiago Ramón y Cajal and Camillo Golgi pioneered neuroscience research. Jeff describes his remarkable research taking nanometer slices of brain tissue, creating high-resolution images, and then digitally reconstructing the cells and synapses to get a more complete picture of the brain. The episode closes with Jeff and Amir discussing theories about how the human brain learns and what technologists might discover from the grand challenge of mapping the entire nervous system.

Academic research discussed in the podcast episode:

    – Principles of Neural Development
    – The reorganization of synaptic connexions in the rat submandibular ganglion during post-natal development
    – Development of the neuromuscular junction: Genetic analysis in mice
    – A technicolour approach to the connectome
    – The big data challenges of connectomics
    – Imaging Intracellular Fluorescent Proteins at Nanometer Resolution
    – Stimulated emission depletion (STED) nanoscopy of a fluorescent protein-labeled organelle inside a living cell
    – High-resolution, high-throughput imaging with a multibeam scanning electron microscope
    – Saturated Reconstruction of a Volume of Neocortex
    – A connectomic study of a petascale fragment of human cerebral cortex
    – A Canonical Microcircuit for Neocortex
