Two adult adoptees, Sarah Reinhardt and Louise Browne, delve into all things adoption – from their perspectives as adult adoptees.
Sarah and Louise, two former business partners who had a successful ice cream truck in Los Angeles, team up again – this time in frank and honest conversations about all things adoption from the adoptee perspective. Both were adopted shortly after birth, but they had very different experiences.
Each season Sarah and Louise recap a chapter from a book centered on adoption and then interview a guest. Season One broke down THE PRIMAL WOUND by Nancy Newton Verrier, and Season Two tackles JOURNEY OF THE ADOPTED SELF by Betty Jean Lifton. Season Three they will delve into memoirs by adoptees.
These will be intimate conversations, but also fun – because Sarah and Louise know how to lighten things up and have a good time. They also have an uncanny ability to get to the heart of a subject with anyone that crosses their path – so conversations will take many turns.

The world is hitting a point where it is impossible to have conversations. Disagreeing with someone means they must be a fool, so there is no reason to talk. We need to get back to discourse! We need to be willing to hear another person’s opinion! We need to wrestle with thoughts, and faith, and all those things together! This podcast seeks to open up conversation in the best method I have ever found; with a beer and a pipe… or cigar! Cinder & Hops invites you to sit down with me, and my guest, each episode! Grab a beer & a smoke, listen in & enjoy the conversation!

Welcome to The All Things Matter Show. I’m your host Ronnie, a self proclaimed world renowned master-of-observation’s digital journal of my perspective on society, the stuff we buy and do, the people we vote for and the fate of humanity as I see it. Anyway I’ll be keeping this mostly political I guess but with some tech, pop culture and climate change fear mongering factoids mixed in. Beware of dark sense of humor and lots of sarcasm. This will also be used as supplemental personality data for when I download my brain to the cloud. Or is it upload?

From abstract theories about trolley problems and the ethics of murder, to more tangible ideas about thinking in isolation and being a moral person, the Women in Parenthesis podcast explores the philosophical writings of four major female philosophers of the 20th century. These short episodes focus on various themes from the works of Mary Midgley, Iris Murdoch, Philippa Foot, and Elizabeth Anscombe, often through interviews with scholars studying these women. This podcast was created by In Parenthesis intern Amy Ward, a student in philosophy at Mount Allison University.
