Each person experiences loneliness and isolation, those of us who live with intense suffering, such as with chronic illness, struggle in a unique way. I aim to strengthen those who are living with chronic illnesses by reading from various documents (encyclicals, book, letters etc) and applying their words to our situation. My goal is to promote the Truth as is taught in the Catholic Church to help us grow into the men and women God created us to be. I wish to remind each person who they are: Child of God the Father, Beloved of Christ, and Temple of the Holy Spirit. With this as the centre of our identity we are freed to become our authentic selves and live well in every situation. Communion (the sharing or exchanging of intimate thoughts and feelings, especially when the exchange is on a mental or spiritual level) with the Church Militant (those of us still on Earth) is vital to strengthen us in our lives. My prayer is that this podcast may provide a service to those who may feel they are outside the reach of the Church by brining the words and teachings to you.

‘Wanderful’ is a podcast created and hosted by David Pearl to help you bring a bit of wonder to your walking. Inspired by David’s not-profit social movement Street Wisdom that brings free guided in-person and online walking workshops to city streets in 67 countries and counting. Each 30 min episode takes an entertaining and light- hearted look at an aspect of life we all secretly struggle with or want to get better at: Boredom, grumpiness, reading, feeling lost, seeking love, wealth, direction… you get the idea. We’ll start the walks by exploring the everyday challenge in the company of an entertaining and refreshingly, imperfectly human, guest. Then, following simple instructions provided by David, the walk becomes a way to get clarity, insight and learn new skills you can use every day to help you find answers to your life questions. All you need is some headphones and a phone so you can get outside and walk whilst listening, but if you are tuning in at home then walking (slowly) inside your house, also works well too. You can dig deeper into the power of wandering and getting off the beaten track in David’s latest book Wanderful: Human Navigation for a Complex World available at leading bookstores. Follow @streetwisdom_ @davidpearlhere for more ideas and inspiration on leading a Wanderful life davidpearl.net Wanderful – Inspiration On The Go is produced and engineered by Andrew Paine

Welcome to 9 to 5 with Avi and Anita a podcast where we talk with excellent women in the middle of their career journey about how they got where they are and where they’re going. We’re perptually curious about how people ended up in their jobs – maybe because neither of us have ever had a plan. There’s a lot out there for women at the start of their careers and lots out there too following women at the top of their careers. But what about those of us in the middle? That’s who we want to hear from. We’ve booked in friends and colleagues working in all kinds of fields to chat about how they juggle life and a career that feels worth it. A little about your co-hosts: Anita Dullard is studying a MSc Climate and Energy Policy, taking time out from media advocacy; Avigail Shai is a diplomatic and policy adviser, and former diplomat – they met working in the international humanitarian sector, stayed for the chat and shared hilarity. Hit up your regular podcast platforms to find 9 to 5 with Avi and Anita and subscribe. If you love it, don’t forget to drop us a review and share where ever these good things get shared.
