Platform sandals, corporate panic, movies shot on actual film . . . there’s so much to miss about 1999. With 20 years of pop culture behind them, we revisit some of the most notorious films of that year and ask—are the greats loved because they are great, or are they great because they are loved?

Most tax “articles” published these days are just summaries, not substance. Their lack of context, critical thought, and practical solutions often leaves readers with more questions than answers. Breaking this trend, the articles accessible here provide rare insight about complicated tax issues, making them both interesting and understandable. Please listen in for a series of articles, written by an attorney dedicated to tax disputes and international tax, previously published in major journals, and read by professionals.

So… vore is weird, right? Weird things have an appeal, people wondering what makes it tick. How can people have such a fantastical fetish? Why do they like it? What’s the history? There’s a community?! This show seeks to explore the intricacies of what is likely the most peculiar fetish on the internet, how far it extends, and how it’s affected the lives of those it’s touched. All in an effort to rationalize, and heck, maybe even normalize this weird kink.

Idylls of the King, published between 1856 and 1885, is a cycle of twelve narrative poems by the English poet Alfred, Lord Tennyson which retells the legend of King Arthur, his knights, his love for Guinevere and her tragic betrayal of him, and the rise and fall of Arthur’s kingdom. The whole work recounts Arthur’s attempt and failure to lift up mankind and create a perfect kingdom, from his coming to power to his death at the hands of the traitor Mordred. Individual poems detail the deeds of various knights, including Lancelot, Geraint, Galahad, and Balin and Balan, and also Merlin and the Lady of the Lake. (Summary by Wikipedia)

Hear the real-time stories of people who have undergone plastic surgery and aesthetic or elective treatments. What drove them to move forward? How did they choose the right doctor? What do they wish they had known before they started? With her newly published book, “Blooming: Finding Gifts in the Shit of Life”, Carrington Smith speaks of the many trying experiences that shaped her. It is a riveting, page-turner with tremendous online reviews, but the one thing that particularly struck a chord with us was the scarring IPL burn from hell that she had to deal with and the images we still can’t get out of our head.
Carrington describes the extensive damage done by her cosmetic procedure burns and the errors that led her to the awful experience that changed the trajectory of her life. With help from the right medical professionals, including expert laser specialist Jenny Burnley, she was able to fully recover.
Carrington’s recovery from cosmetic surgery gone wrong is only one of the many experiences that have inspired her to share a crucial message of loving yourself, celebrating inner and outer beauty, and practicing self-care. If you’ve ever wondered whether it’s a good idea to buy a Groupon for a laser treatment or call that surgeon who does those hilarious TikTok dances, you need to hear this story.
