    New View EDU

    Since Jul 25, 2021 04:00 UTC

In the past year, school leaders have faced a constant need to innovate and respond to rapidly changing conditions in their communities, our nation and our world. Now we’re all seeking ways to bring healing and strength to our schools in the year ahead. But what else can we learn from these challenging times, and what inspiration can we draw for the future of schools? Tim Fish, NAIS Chief Innovation Officer, is teaming up with Lisa Kay Solomon, author, educator and designer of strategic conversations for leaders, to host a new podcast that will probe the questions that matter most right now.

One thing is certain: The world will continue to be complex and ever-changing. This moment can inspire us to approach the future with resilience, curiosity and belief in new possibilities. NAIS New View EDU will support school leaders in finding those new possibilities and understanding that evolving challenges require compassionate and dynamic solutions. We’re engaging brilliant leaders from both inside and outside the education world to explore the larger questions about what schools can be, and how they can truly serve our students, leaders and communities. From neuroscience to improvisation, Afrofuturism to architecture, our guests bring unexpected new lenses to considering the challenges and opportunities facing schools. No prescriptions, no programs — New View EDU is providing inspiration to ask new questions, dig into new ideas, and find new answers to the central question: “How can we use what we’ve learned to explore the future of what our schools are for?”

    Finance for Physicians

    Finance for Physicians

    by

    Since Mar 4, 2021 06:00 UTC

As a doctor, you begin your professional career as a high-income earner. But many people don’t talk about the cost of this achievement. As you know, medicine is a demanding field that requires a lengthy, expensive education and rigorous hours of training. When you spend that much time studying and working, you don’t have the time for side jobs to offset the cost, or the mental space to learn about anything else other than how to treat patients. This means most physicians, like you, end up having to take out huge loans to survive, without time to get a proper financial education. But by the time you start to earn income, you begin to feel trapped by “the system”. You start to feel behind in life – forcing you to continue to sacrifice your quality of life and your patient quality of care starts to decrease. This leads to poor health, stressed relationships, and a propensity for burnout from a vocation you worked so hard to achieve. We have a solution: we believe control of our finances leads to having control of our life. Welcome to “Finance for Physicians” a show where we teach and empower doctors, like you, to practice medicine the ways you always dreamed you would- free of financial worry to provide the best level of care for your patients, your family, and yourself. Don’t believe that “burn-out is a necessary myth.” You don’t have to sacrifice your health, relationships, and your career to live the life you want. If you want to learn how to have better control of your finances and more control over your life, this show is for you! “Finance for Physicians” is hosted by financial expert, Daniel Wrenne, of Wrenne Financial.

    The Happy Birthway Podcast

    The Happy Birthway Podcast

    by

    Since Apr 9, 2021 02:25 UTC

New: Hear your voice on The Happy Birthway Podcast! Call 203-759-8639 to ask me a question or leave a comment that I will answer on the podcast. Unpopular opinion: A healthy mom and healthy baby are NOT enough. Why don’t we pay attention to a mother’s experience and perceptions of her birth enough? I’m an L&D nurse revealing insider secrets that you won’t learn in your standard childbirth ed class. We explore every facet (from opposite extremes) of not just birth, but the experience of womanhood and childbearing. Along with women sharing their experiences vulnerably, a slew of experts gift us with knowledge we never thought we needed. I throw in an extra layer to the discussion by exploring the implications of Judaism and Jewish culture on the reproductive experience. This show spans way beyond pregnancy and birth, with topics on sex, birth control, birth trauma, perinatal mental health, postpartum realities, breastfeeding, sleep training, diet culture, infertility, realities of our healthcare system, Jewish law, and so much more. The information here is not intended to give you medical advice or replace the care of a qualified healthcare provider.
