    Meant To Be Mama

    Meant To Be Mama

    by

    Since Dec 14, 2022 09:00 UTC

We are your hosts, Meg & Sara. Two relatable women on a mission to unpack the real and raw truths of infertility, pregnancy after loss, motherhood & everything in between. We’ve both experienced our own losses on our journeys to motherhood, and will be sharing our own struggles and truths in an effort to help women feel less alone. We both felt isolated and unsupported and craved a space where we felt understood, so our goal is to create that space. We promise not to throw silver linings at you or wrap anything up in a pretty bow, while also realizing the importance of hope and faith and aim to create balance between the two. Our purpose is to create a safe haven for women who have experienced infertility, pregnancy and/or infant loss. As mentioned, we’ll be discussing our own stories as well as welcoming other women to share theirs and all the different journeys taken to “becoming mama”. We will unpack how to navigate life after loss including topics such as; ways to heal, trying to conceive again, relationships with significant others, friends and family and so much more. If you’ve experienced infertility and/or loss, this podcast is for you. If you’re a friend or family member of someone going through this process and looking for ways to offer comfort or support them on their journey, this podcast is for you too. New episodes release every Monday. Please rate, review & subscribe to stay updated.

    Iboganautics

    Iboganautics

    by

    Since Feb 22, 2020 14:00 UTC

Unveiling the iboga experience for first-timers and shamans alike, Iboganautics is the podcast committed to discovering everything there is to know about “Tabernanthe iboga,” or simply called iboga, a naturally occurring psychedelic plant from Gabon in western Central Africa. While other podcasters and content producers mainly focus on the addiction interruption properties of ibogaine, the main acting alkaloid in iboga, there is so much more to discuss, so much more one could and should know for a richer appreciation of the experience. For this reason, I invite members of the iboga community and other experts on the podcast to speak not just about addiction but about alternative topics pertaining to iboga-the-plant as well as the subjective experiences elicited by iboga. After several transformative personal experiences in addition to my own academic research, I speak with people that have something educational and interesting to say about this substance/experience, directly or indirectly related; for example, from scholars in neuroscience, philosophy, psychology, anthropology, and botany to experienced staff at retreat centers, artists, lay experts, and so on. While there’s much good information about iboga across multiple media, I believe there’s more to discover by conversing with said experts. For more information, visit https://amhouot.com/iboganautics/

    What the Media?!!?

    What the Media?!!?

    by

    Since May 1, 2021 05:00 UTC

The average American consumes 11 hours a day of electronic mass media! Learning to analyze media messages regardless of who sends them is a 21st century survival skill (in Missouri they’re considering adding it to the school curriculum). What the Media ?!!? will explore topics like “How to spot a bot” and “why memes work”. We speak with local Media Literacy professors and authors as our experts in addition to the anchors and reporters in our newsroom. A good comparison is a food critic – they look at how the food is prepared, who the chef is, how the food is presented, the texture etc. We will do the same for Media!

    Songwriting for Everyone

    by

    Since Feb 22, 2019 05:00 UTC

This podcast is for all songwriters, whether just starting or advanced – no musical background necessary! Composer and teacher Joseph Lilore covers the techniques of modern hit songwriters (“Circles” by Post Malone, “Bad Guy” by Billie Eilish), along with in-depth analysis of popular songs through time (“Something” by The Beatles, “Smells Like Teen Spirit” by Nirvana). The first series of lessons is an interactive course, where Joe plays chord progressions on the guitar as you sing along, turning your words into melodies. By the end of that series you will have written your first song, and you will be able to compose as many songs as you wish, in any style – pop, jazz, rock, country & more! Over 45 episodes so far, with new episodes released regularly.
