Almost every day for the better part of four years, I took steroids. And it may have saved my life. In my defense, it’s not what you’re thinking, but admittedly there is a part of it that is exactly what you’re thinking. This is my story, told in eight parts – each episode will also explore a unique theme or subculture relevant to the conversation in an attempt to show that this issue is more than just an issue; it is a complicated, multi-layered slice of our medicine and our culture.

Are you curious about acting? Ever thought about going to school to study theatre? Directing? Design? Playwriting? Theatre history? Maybe curious to know what theater school looks and feels like but don’t actually want to do it? Maybe you do, but don’t want to pay for classes?
Or have you studied theatre? Do you already work in theater? Want to know more? Want to learn about a different discipline?
Whatever the case, whatever the thing is that’s got you interested, give a listen to Everything I Learned in Theater School.
I’m Max. I’m a professional theatre artist and teacher. I’ve learned heaps about the art of theater over the years and instead of keeping it all to myself, I want to share it. With you!
In my new podcast, I’ll scour my memory (and my notebooks if I can find them) and share with you the things I learned and the experiences I had. I’ll also talk with other artists as I take you down the path toward a well-rounded education in the art of theatre.
If this podcast adds any value to your life via knowledge, entertainment, whatever, please consider supporting Max and the podcast by becoming a patron at patreon.com/theaterschoolpod. Any contributions are welcome and appreciated, and go toward making each episode the best and most engaging that it can be.

All Things Cosmic is a podcast from the Center for Process Studies that engages cutting edge discourses across disciplines–from science, philosophy, and religion, to art, aesthetics and activism. Through conversations with scholars and artists whose work reflect process modes thought, we situate discourse among three core convictions: that creative evolution, axiological persuasion, and aesthetic articulation are fundamental to the cosmos. Far from being dislocations in a foreign universe, human existence, experience, and expression are exemplifications of all things cosmic.
