    The Brink of Sanity

    The Brink of Sanity

    by

    Since Feb 14, 2008 03:26 UTC

The Brink of Sanity show started waaaaaayyyyy back in 2008 with Jay and Bri as the show’s co-hosts and Jay’s dad as the sole listener. The audio was poor as was the content. It was dark times for the podcast.

Then in 2009 something magical happened. The Brink of Sanity got its first non family member listener. This was mainly due to the fact that Jay finally figured out how to put the show up online. Fueled by doubling its listenership, Jay bought some real audio equipment and brought in a bunch of new co-hosts into the mix.

By 2010 and the show finally kinda sorta resembled a real podcast. Marc and Jay, as well as many other guest hosts, now bring their unique brand of incoherent babble to tens of people every week. Personal stories, rants, half-truths, current events, pop culture, game shows episodes, and messing with Internet scammers are some of the things you can expect to hear from Jay and company every week.

It’s now 2023 and we’re still going strong! Well, maybe not strong, but we’re still going.

Hosted by experienced software architect, trainer, and entrepreneur Steve Smith, also known online as @ardalis. If you find these useful, you may also want to get a free software development tip delivered to your inbox every Wednesday from ardalis.com/tips.

No Gruffs Given with Sean Avery

No Gruffs Given with Sean Avery

    by

    Since Apr 6, 2022 09:00 UTC

Sean Avery: A 12-year NHL Hockey career and one of the most legendary NY Rangers who called Madison Square Garden, “The Most Famous Arena in The World”, home. In a NY Ranger Jersey, Sean was the first professional athlete from the “Big 4” to endorse New York State’s push for Marriage Equality as well as the first pro to intern at Vogue Magazine during the off-season. Sean Avery wrote the best-selling memoir, Ice Capade, on the Penguin Random House imprint. He then transitioned into a brand-new acting career with credits to-date in director Peter Berg’s Patriots Day, Mile 22 and most recently, Chris Nolan’s upcoming blockbuster TENET. So naturally, the No Gruffs Given Podcast was the next step. An unapologetic conversation only a true narcissist like Sean can only have with himself, which people will hate, and people will love. Enjoy one of greatest trash talkers ever in professional sports on his podcast, No Gruffs Given.

Monkey See Monkey Review: The Podcast

Monkey See Monkey Review: The Podcast

    by

    Since Mar 12, 2020 20:22 UTC

Welcome to Monkey See, Monkey Review: The Podcast Join the MSMR family of Scott, Christoper, Kev and Craig for a fortnightly fix of film fun, including reviews, features, feedback, lively conversation and debates.

2021 may have been a lot of things, and the vast majority of those things a bit pants, but one thing that was not pants was the movie output. It was a cracking year and the chaps all weigh in with their highlights in our review of the movie-watching year gone by. What reigned supreme? Did anything reign supreme? Did we even have a methodology for deciding the er…supreme reigner? All the answers are contained within. Apart from that last question, that is a firm ‘no’.

In addition, Scott, Kev and Chris chat their start to 2022 with reviews of Power of the Dog, Licorice Pizza, Boiling Point and Belfast.

In other news, we realised too late that the symmetry of having the review of 2021 as episode 21 and the preview of 2022 as episode 22 would’ve been perfect, further solidifying the fact that we are rebels that fly in the face of convention. Or catastrophically disorganised. Either works.

We also promised you social media links. Take them and make use of them.

    Maps of the Lost

    by

    Since Apr 15, 2020 10:44 UTC

Maps of the Lost is an audio guidebook to the lost places and the secret histories, its entries showing you what hides in the shadows, what stalks the moors, what is coming from under the ground, and why you should beware the last carriage in the last underground train because you may never get off. Be cautious, though. If you follow these maps, you may become lost yourself. Starting its second season, Maps is a bite-size podcast for fans of (folk) horror, myth, legend and the eerie.
