This podcast discusses a plethora of important issues that we need to discuss and dissect as a society so as to alter, challenge, and improve these issues that primarily affect marginalized communities and even privileged communities in subtle and overt ways. We need to heal as a collective and de-colonize the system from which we operate within. Let’s talk about the taboo, the uncomfortable, the harsh, the gritty and the beauty and healing to be found in it all.

I Didn’t Mean It Like That

    by

    Since Apr 24, 2020 22:32 UTC

I didn’t mean it like that: a phrase often used when you meant exactly what you said, but don’t want to look like an idiot. Podcast may induce shock and humor. Hosted by Kanna: the originator of the title phrase, editor, and brings up toes a little too much, Joey: Charming youngster with long flowing hair and maturity despite high-pitched voice, Gus: the showman of the group, humor that toes the line, and a self-confidence that translates into random loud noises(and good jokes). This group really couldn’t be any more complete and yet, like a cherry on a sundae, we add special guests.

    Voyage to First Vintage

    by

    Since Jan 25, 2020 16:45 UTC

Welcome to our podcast! Our goal is to document our journey to owning a winery & vineyard and to take you all along for the ride. James has a background in agricultural science with experience in vineyard management, and Danielle has a background in biology with experience in wine/grape juice analytics. Hopefully this, paired with our ambition and quick wit, is enough for us to achieve our goals. We’ll find out! Along with documenting our journey, we hope that those who have an interest in wine find a place in this podcast to learn and grow with us. Frost tip #1: You don’t have to know anything about wine to be able to enjoy it. Our podcast will feature updates on our journey, interviews with employees of the wine industry ranging from winery owners, managers, event managers, those in the tasting room, the cellars, and more. We’ll be recording episodes where you can learn everything from how to pretend to know what you’re doing in a tasting room to soil science. And with Danielle’s additional background in forensic science, this podcast wouldn’t be complete without some wine-related crimes thrown in the mix (not committed by us). We’re so excited to start this journey and we hope you all are ready to be a part of our adventure! #winenot Here. We. Go. We’re back with an episode packed full of updates on how we’re progressing with our wine label and our goal of owning a winery and vineyard! Have a listen, let us know what you think! – James & Danielle Support this podcast

Who approaches the scene first risking their lives for the safety of others? We do. The blue canaries, law enforcement. We allow others to tell our stories. It’s time for us to tell our own stories. Blue Canary is a show for cops by a cop, retired Captain Steven Kellams. In each episode, Steve goes behind the scenes of a police department. Giving you real-world insight into why decisions are made, what obstacles are ahead, and how the answers to your questions aren’t always found in the news. It’s unfiltered, it’s relevant and it’s for anyone brave enough to wear a badge.
