    The Moth People Podcast

    The Moth People Podcast

    by

    Since Feb 27, 2019 23:53 UTC

The Moth People Podcast is three friends talking about stuff including, but not limited to, sports, pop-culture, memes, nerd stuff, conspiracy theories, philosophy, quantum thermodynamics and, of course, the resiliency of the cassowary. Really, we talk about anything that captures our short attention span, while also attempting to slander at least one person per episode. We’ve even slandered an entire country whose name rhymes with Tetherlands. There’s a moth and light metaphor somewhere in there but, either way, listen. Reimagining Education: Distance Education in Humanitarian Settings

Reimagining Education: Distance Education in Humanitarian Settings

    by

    Since Mar 10, 2022 20:06 UTC

Reimagining Education is an INEE interview series featuring a range of perspectives on distance education in crisis-affected contexts, as presented by teachers, implementing actors, donors, and academics delivering distance education interventions in crisis contexts. Some episodes present real-life examples and solutions, while others focus on theoretical concepts about distance education in humanitarian settings. Each interview highlights the unique contributions of those working on the ground and the challenges they face. As the COVID-19 pandemic forces education actors to reorganize delivery mechanisms, this series shares the perspectives of those responding to changing needs. Each episode is hosted by a different member of the INEE Distance Education Reference Group (DERG). For more information about the INEE DERG, please visit https://inee.org/how-we-work/reference-groups This podcast was made possible with support from USAID.

How To Be A Minimalist (The Sustainable Way)

How To Be A Minimalist (The Sustainable Way)

    by

    Since Feb 1, 2020 14:37 UTC

Have you ever wondered how you can make living sustainably more efficient? It’s often the harder way of doing things, let’s be honest. By focusing on the Zero Waste movement alongside Minimalist ideals, I’m going to explore the ways both of these lifestyles support each other, as well as some of the aspects of each that are a little harder to reconcile. So the objective here, in a nutshell, is to explore the idea of a more responsible Minimalism, and merge that with a rewarding sustainable lifestyle, but one which doesn’t compromise the sense of wellbeing that the simplicity of Minimalism promotes. There’s a sweet spot that when the two are combined, provide an achievable balance that will essentially alter the way you perceive and interact with the world. Intrigued? Listen on… I’m Nash, and this is How To Be A Minimalist (The Sustainable Way). — If you are enjoying this content, SUBSCRIBE, SHARE, TELL A FRIEND! Hayek Program Podcast

    Hayek Program Podcast

    by

    Since Jan 26, 2016 18:08 UTC

The Hayek Program Podcast includes audio from lectures, interviews, and discussions of scholars and visitors from the F. A. Hayek Program for Advanced Study in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University. The F. A. Hayek Program is devoted to the promotion of teaching and research on the institutional arrangements that are suitable for the support of free and prosperous societies. Implicit in this statement is the presumption that those arrangements are to some extent open to conscious selection, as well as the appreciation that the type of arrangements that are selected within a society can influence significantly the economic, political, and moral character of that society. The Hayek Program Podcast is partially funded by a grant from the John Templeton Foundation on “Work, Self-governance, and the Challenge of Unsustainable Dependency.” The Grant is for a three-year project to explore the themes of work and self-governance as well as the root causes and consequences of the modern shift toward a greater reliance on government efforts to solve collective challenges.

Making music and DJing by age 13, it was in 2005 that Frank developed the Reboot name to encompass his warmer techno sound with his live shows and visuals. With an album in the making, due out early next year on Cadenza, he’s been busy in the studio adding to his already outstanding collection of EPs and making his way to Australia for the first time.
