Pursuing your future doesn’t end at 40, in fact, it may mark the beginning of knowing who you are, what you’re capable of and what you really want. But knowing what’s next and how to get there can be a challenge—especially when old narratives play on repeat. I’ve come to believe that the best way to understand your possibilities is in hearing from others—what they have done and how they have done it.LIBERTY ROAD is here to share stories so that you can consider your possibilities, pursue your purpose and move into your future with intention.

    Rethoughts Out Loud

    Rethoughts Out Loud

    by

    Since Dec 12, 2019 01:42 UTC

When I explain Rethoughts to someone, I often use the imagery of a tree. To aid in a tree’s growth we prune branches that get in the way. These branches may be diseased, home to pests, or running into each other. By removing the parts that no longer serve the organism we also promote growth in another direction. In many ways Rethoughts is a method of growing, but with an added emphasis on pruning the parts of us that no longer serve us. It is a call to rethink what you are or, more accurately, what you think you are. Welcome to Rethoughts, a revolution of the mind.

    Be Better, Stupid

    Be Better, Stupid

    by

    Since Mar 26, 2020 19:00 UTC

The podcast is self-help for people who hate self-help. That is to say, it’s for people looking to improve their lives, but can’t stand the popular methods of doing so. My listeners see the bullshit so prominent in the personal development world, AND because they want to better themselves. They know that they’re not Oprah, and won’t be, but they still want to be better versions of themselves. I am my listeners. I’m nothing special on my own either. I’m just a guy obsessed with figuring this all out. So I provide ideas about personal development, but I don’t stop there. I question myself—what has worked, and what hasn’t, and I seek out the opinions of others—not gurus with books to sell, but real people like you and me as they’ve applied principles to their real lives. Let’s explore the real ways to do this together.

    Everything They Missed

    Everything They Missed

    by

    Since Sep 4, 2025 23:54 UTC

It starts with a name. A name whispered in an interrogation room, scribbled into police reports, passed along like an absolute that seemed to solve everything—too neatly, too quickly. Then it was a truck. A checkbook. Fingerprints. Suspects. Lies. Like a deadly game of Clue, the very pieces you’d expect to matter most were the ones that slipped between the cracks. And in August 2007, when Danny Harris — a father, veteran, and lifelong Tennessean — was found brutally murdered inside his Memphis apartment, the case faded into silence. A story the public never truly heard—until now. From StephTown Studios, host Stephanie Tinsley has spent the past year retracing these pieces—talking to unheard voices, convincing people to come forward, and bringing to light Everything They Missed.

Our logo is a turtle on its back, a humorous but uncomfortable image. It represents us – individuals, activists, Christians – as we try to navigate difficult topics such as human trafficking, controversies, and theories of healing. Navigating the issues discussed on the show is challenging and a little awkward; however, like the turtle, we can get right-side up. Join us the 1st and 15th of every month to engage in re-orienting conversations.
