So the show’s a smash. But why? And why now? THE BACKDROP puts theater’s biggest hits and most compelling productions in context — featuring interviews with the creators and cast, punctuated by a punchy, deeply researched dive into the reasons why this particular production is relevant at this particular moment. Join host Emmy and Writers Guild Award winner Kevin Bleyer (The Daily Show) and producer Nella Vera for this thoughtful mix of historical scene-setting and related current events — the full backdrop. Oh, and it’s also funny.
“Not by might, nor by power, but by my SPIRIT, saith the LORD of hosts.” (Zechariah 4: 6) Greetings to all of you. For the month of June, we celebrate the Feast of Pentecost. This feast points to the gathering together of a very special group of saints called the 144,000, also known as God’s first fruit group. During this holy convocation, we place special emphasis on the Holy Spirit. Why? The Holy Spirit plays a key role in the spiritual and physical change of God’s first fruit group (aka 144,000), which will be a sign for the entire world to see during the last days. However, the Holy Spirit is so often misunderstood; including who he is as a part of the holy trinity (i.e. Father, the Son & the Holy Ghost) as well as the role he plays in preparing us for our salvation. Therefore, we will review who the Holy Spirit is, why we need him in our lives, the impact he has had on notable figures in the bible as well as the impact he will have on the 144,000 during the last days.

The Edge of Your Soul Podcast is brought to you by Two Evil Actors, a female comedy duo based in Los Angeles. Edge of Your Soul is 30 minutes of commiseration and laughter in “the dark place.” Each week we each share something that brought us to the Edge of our Souls, laugh into the abyss, get weird, and then share a piece of wisdom (or a song, or a quote, or whatever) that got us through the dark place and back into the light. If some days, YOU JUST CAN’T, then this podcast is for you. Your hosts are Danielle Reynolds and Britt Harris. This is it. Our last show. It’s been a blast and a great learning experience. As you’ll hear in the episode it was completely Zeke’s call to end it. And he pays the price. (How do I get out of this barrel?) Anyway, in our last episode: The Watchmen, Finishing Up Fable 2, Kink Cinema, and more.
