Critical Issues Commentatry grew out of Bob DeWaay’s passion to equip the saints for the work of ministry. In the late 1980’s Bob met regularly with a group of local pastors, often presenting position papers on timely doctrinal issues. When he found that the messages were accepted by only a few of the attendees and rarely reached the pews, he chose to speak directly to the people by initiating a bimonthly newletter.
Bob DeWaay is teacher and theologian at Gospel of Grace Fellowship in Edina, MN. Gospel of Grace Fellowship can be found on the web at http://www.gospelofgracefellowship.org/where you can listen to sermons and other teachings.

    FIVE PLACES L.A.

    by

    Since Jun 29, 2022 23:37 UTC

FIVE PLACES L.A. is a living documentary of the city. In each episode we ask one inhabitant of Los Angeles about the five places that define the city for them. Each interviewee in turn chooses someone to interview about their five places. Through these interviews and plus-ones the project grows; as the city evolves, its past and present, real and remembered places are mapped.

At the beginning of the 21st century, more than half the world’s population live in cities. Issues about governance, intensification of social relationships, the impact of globalisation, and the way green spaces are utilised become ever more pressing concerns. The tracks on this album explore some of the challenges faced across the world as citizens and administrators adapt to ever increasing pressures on city spaces and resources. The material forms part of the course DD304, Understanding Cities.

USA TODAY’s critically acclaimed investigative podcast about power in American cities.

Season 1, Chicago: A black neighborhood fights back when a mysterious man with mob ties builds an illegal dump across the street from an elementary school. Along the way they confront corrupt politicians, apathetic bureaucrats—and a secret undercover FBI investigation.

    A Small American City

    A Small American City

    by

    Since Dec 27, 2012 18:16 UTC

A Small American City podcast is a project by author Duncan Crary. It aims to re-acquaint listeners with small city life in North America through the voices, stories, history and urban fabric of his home city of Troy, New York. The program features spoken-word essays and intimate conversations with a cast of characters who bring this unusual Hudson River settlement to life. This is not a news program. It is not a talk show. It is a passport into the lives of the people who inhabit a place. You are a welcome eavesdropper. And so at first, you may be unfamiliar with and disoriented by some of the names you hear along the way. We won’t always clarify things for you. But like any newcomer to our town, you will get to know all the players over time, if you keep showing up. So belly up to the bar with us. Put your cell phone in your pocket. Let a different sort of exchange nestle in.
