So You Want to Talk About Leadership

So You Want to Talk About Leadership

    by

    Since Apr 5, 2021 02:02 UTC

Who is this podcast for? New leaders, people who don’t see themselves as leaders, and leaders who want to become better leaders and better people in general. What is the podcast about? Redefining leadership through a lens that is fair to you. Why will you find this podcast valuable? It challenges listeners to think about leadership in different ways. Real leaders don’t need a title, they live it. If you listen to this show, you will become a better leader by learning how to treat people, how to leverage your experiences, how to handle conflict, how to develop other leaders, and how to walk and live out your values. This podcast covers the every day struggles of leaders and speaks to the leaders in the shadows. Email talkaboutleadershippodcast@gmail.com for questions or just to say hello!

Tony closes the book on the leadership alphabet and season one in this episode. Tony spends some time talking about why it is important for leaders to be able to unify their people. He also breaks down how certain values take the forefront in certain situations for everyone. The episode closes by going through the eight dimensions of wellness where Tony challenges leaders to take their well-being seriously and understand how the eight dimensions can overlap one another and have a compounding effect.

Supporting children’s learning in the early years – for iPad/Mac/PC

    by

    Since Aug 20, 2009 01:13 UTC

How do young children learn, and how can adults help them? This album looks at how nursery teachers support children in their development. We follow a practitioner’s day, looking at how she works with children, observes and plans for further activities while she also records her thoughts and ideas using a video camera. Further video tracks reveal how creativity is nurtured in young children to develop their abilities, how an artist in residence works with nursery children, as well as how the work of bilingual and special needs assistants mean that no child is excluded from the learning process. The audio tracks cover the importance of parental input, and the fantastic opportunities available to develop children’s creativity using technologies. This material forms part of The Open University course E124 Supporting children’s learning in the early years.

The Good Listening To: The Story Behind Your Story Show!

The Good Listening To: The Story Behind Your Story Show!

    by

    Since Oct 8, 2020 18:00 UTC

Cutting through the noise with stories of Distinction & Genius & welcome to the “Genius Club!” Think “Desert Island Discs” but in a ‘Clearing’ and with stories rather than music. This is the storytelling podcast that all takes place in ‘The Clearing’ (or ‘serious happy place’ of my Guest’s choosing) and from where the ‘story behind the story’ of being them unfolds. It’s the Storytelling show with the Squirrels & the Tree from Motivational Comedian Chris Grimes! ‘The Clearing’ is where all good QUESTIONS come to be asked and all good STORIES come to be told! All my Guests have 2 things in common: They are all creative individuals from the worlds of Arts & Entertainment, Business & Culture and all with a story of ‘distinction & genius’ to tell. “Who are you? What’s your story? And what ‘life-lessons-learned-along-your-way’ would you like to share with us?” And whilst we’ve got you here in “The Clearing”: “What would you like your legacy to be? How would you most like to be remembered?” This is the Storytelling Podcast series from “MojoCoach”, Facilitator & Motivational Comedian Chris Grimes. With some lovely Storytelling metaphors to also enjoy along the way: The Clearing itself, a Tree, a lovely juicy Storytelling exercise called “5-4-3-2-1”, some Alchemy, some Gold, a cheeky bit of Shakespeare, a couple of random Squirrels and a Cake! So it’s all to play for! “Being in ‘The Good listening To Show’ is like having a ‘Day Spa’ for your Brain!” (So saideth Wendy Bagger!) So – let’s cut through the noise and get listening!
