The Halo Effect places importance on a person, idea, or product simply because the one spreading the message is a celebrity or someone that is recognizable or revered. It is my firm belief that while many famous people can and do have justifiable and wonderful ideas and thoughts, you do not have to be quote/unquote famous to be knowledgeable and entertaining.
