You, Me, Empathy: Sharing Our Mental Health Stories

You, Me, Empathy: Sharing Our Mental Health Stories

    by

    Since Jan 1, 2018 14:00 UTC

You, Me, Empathyis the official podcast of The Feely Human Collective. Join the community at FeelyHuman.co/membership.

On this show, we explore the struggles, the triumphs, the brights and the darks we face as humans trying to be human on this wondrous and overwhelming pale blue dot.

You, Me, Empathy was created so that we can be witness to our collective humanity through the lens of empathy, vulnerability, and emotional curiosity. We aim to destigmatize mental health, lead fiercely with our hearts, feel our feelings without shame and judgment, and share our courageous stories so that others may feel less alone and more connected as feely humans.

You, Me, Empathy is a brave place designed to inspire the beauty in each of us, because each of us, in all of our kaleidoscopic parts, makes up a magical whole that deserves to be seen.

Created and hosted by Nōn Wels (he/him), feely human, writer, and doggo lover.

The You, Me, Empathy podcast is for informational and/or entertainment purposes only and is not a substitute for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

The Hot Chick Politic Show | Basic Human Connection

The Hot Chick Politic Show | Basic Human Connection

    by

    Since Jan 11, 2015 19:52 UTC

HCP provides a platform for community members to speak first hand about their experiences as a citizen. People can speak freely because, here at HCP we provide a friendly and non-judgemental ear along with comfy chairs, beverages, and snacks on demand 😉 These interviews break stereotypes, and help acquaint folks from all walks of life. From the bottom to the top. We are not talking at people, we are talking to people, real people from the bottom up. We talk about daily lives, passion, and understanding. By putting effort into understanding our neighbor, our community, our country, and our world, we can then make educated decisions about the world. Decisions we can take right from our neighborhood to the capitol. Our job is to help one another. The only way to do that is to understand one another and develop compassion. End finger-pointing and stereotypes and become compassionate. Compassion that becomes so clear that action is inevitable. That is our mission. One practical way we can see this change would be looking at voter turn out. We would love to see voter turn out grow with every election, and for America to become a voting culture. Now, we have all heard the history about winning the right to vote, but less than half of all Americans actually vote. We can change this. HCP is not here to tell you how to vote or who to vote for. We are here to tell the story of every American citizen from the bottom up. Personal connection to the voices and stories will provide that spark we all need to get moving. Moving whichever way your own heart guides you. Please take the time to check out Hot Chick Politic blog and listen for yourself ☺ Click link to find the latest episodes of The Hot Chick Politic Show.

The OHMazing® Way with Beth Reese, PhD

The OHMazing® Way with Beth Reese, PhD

    by

    Since Apr 1, 2019 15:19 UTC

Synthesizing over two decades of Dr. Beth Reese’s work bringing practical, research-based self-regulation tools from mindfulness and yoga on and off the mat into daily life, this podcast shares stories and ideas for integrating techniques into homes, classrooms, schools, and beyond. When Dr. Beth Reese’s then 6-year-old daughter started hurling chairs at her in a busy airport, she knew something was up. Soon after, she learned that her daughter had sensory processing disorder, considered by many to be a spectrum disorder. Realizing that what Beth was learning on her yoga mat could help her daughter “off the mat”, she founded Yogiños: Yoga for Youth® in 2008. As for Dr. Reese’s once chair-hurling daughter, she is now an award-winning filmmaker in UCLA’s School of Theater, Film and Television.
