How was The Cold War fought? What types of evidence do historians use to understand the events that took place? The Cold War was a state of political and military tension between the USA and the Soviet Union, along with their respective allies in the Western and Eastern Blocs. As The Cold War was ‘fought’ in so many different ways, it gives historians the opportunity to discuss the many ways that you can study the time period. This audio collection looks at how Cold War historians combine traditional sources with other forms of social and cultural history to build an overall view of this conflict. This material forms part of the Open University course ‘A327 Europe 1914-1989 War, Peace Modernity’

    Interrupt The Pattern

    Interrupt The Pattern

    by

    Since Nov 21, 2014 19:16 UTC

We dedicate this work to the brave and humble that are willing to do the most challenging work known to man: that deep and constant journey within the self to look at and embrace those things within us that we don’t like, that don’t serve us, and that continue to cause the painful experiences in our lives. We’re dedicated to those who understand we are neither good nor bad. Instead, we are consciously willing to continue the journey to our highest self. Our wish is that you will identify with the experiences and lessons we present and that, from them; you will develop a new picture of yourself and realize your highest potential from it. Our wish is that you Interrupt The Pattern.

    Shape Shifters

    Since Sep 5, 2011 16:14 UTC

The sun sets. The moon rises. The night howls. . . . The sleepy foothills hamlet of Black Diamond is waking to a new dawn of economic prosperity. The government has announced plans to develop the Kananskis Parklands, a rugged wilderness northwest of town. Three world-class ski resorts within an hour’s drive! The increase in tourist traffic will make everyone rich. . . . Wealthy businessman Gavin Freid fans a fire of discontent when he claims the Fellowship—a colony of granola-eating back-to-earthers—opposes development. The damn Fellowship is going to ruin it for everyone! Tension mounts when the mutilated corpse of a hitchhiker is discovered just outside of town. Who could do such a thing? The Fellowship, of course. Those freaks. . . they run naked through the forest under moonlight! While investigating the hitchhiker’s untimely death, Officer Jared Pasco’s understanding of order and justice is transformed when he confronts the impossible. School teacher Josh Martins meets Julianna, single mother of Warren Davis—a Fellowship student suffering a mysterious illness. How will Josh be treated by the people of Black Diamond when they find out he has fallen in love with one of the Fellowship freaks? And how will Josh react when he learns the truth concerning Warren Davis, Julianna, and the rest of the Fellowship? Humanity and nature collide in Shape Shifters: a werewolf tale with NO vampires.

What’s up guys, my name is Greg Anderson, and after spending a decade in the Special Operations/Para-Military community and 14 overseas deployments, I pursued a new career in Law Enforcement with the interest in putting the deployment lifestyle behind me. In light of so many events in 2020 regarding law enforcement I decided to speak up on the behalf of the profession and it ultimately cost me my job, but because of this I’ve taken my life in a new direction and one of my pursuits is launching this podcast! The Endless Endeavor Podcasts was created with the understanding that life is a continuous and arduous journey. I’ve learned that the only way I can grow and develop as a human is maintaining an understanding that there is always a lot to learn and preserve a curiosity across a wide spectrum of interests. Through this journey of life I have had the honor to walk amongst giants and look forward to bringing our listeners quality content on a variety of topics. We will be delving into military operations, jiu jitsu and martial arts, liberty and freedom, tactical proficiency, health and wellness, overcoming depression and PTSD, leadership and team dynamics, parenting, law enforcement and so much more.
