    What Happens In Between

    What Happens In Between

    by

    Since May 13, 2020 17:13 UTC

What Happens In Between highlights the deliciously mercurial process of creating something meaningful, between taking your first steps to develop your idea and mastery. Each episode, the conversation centers on the guest’s process of developing or deepening relationship to creation. Join Athena Sayaka for weekly installments and learn how others are navigating the unsexy parts of creating a platform.

What Happens In Between features entrepreneurs, artists, and creators who have a burning desire to impact their world, but don’t necessarily have all the answers yet. Come along with us as we discuss the plans, the missteps, and the feelings of moving blindly forward. In each episode, you’ll find key takeaways, and the understanding/reminder that you are not alone in your struggle.

Each interview focuses on the space between, whether hearing from an emerging creator or an established expert, the conversation is always focused on process.

Business of Being Creative with Sean Low

Business of Being Creative with Sean Low

    by

    Since Mar 2, 2021 11:00 UTC

I’m Sean Low, and I’ve been lending practical business advice to those in the business of being creative since the early 2000s, including accomplished notables such as Preston Bailey, Vicente Wolf, Nate Berkus, Sawyer Berson, Style Me Pretty, Marcy Blum, Michelle Rago, and Sylvia Weinstock–to name a few. The key to my own success has been my ability to help artists build their businesses in a way that most honors the art that is behind them. I’ll give you straight up, no holds barred advice on handling what happens from deal to done. The journey with your client begins when they first connect with you, whether digitally or in real life. And from that moment until the project is finished, you have the power to manifest an experience and journey with them that’s transformative for all. Everyone should be creative. Whatever your art is, it should invigorate you and bring you joy. And if it happens to be your business, it should bring you the money you need to KEEP being creative. Hopefully, I will challenge you each week to do just that. So, let’s not just think outside the box… Let’s erase it!

    The Creativity for All Podcast

    The Creativity for All Podcast

    by

    Since Jan 16, 2020 09:17 UTC

A maths teacher can be creative. So can a financial adviser, a community builder, and a yoga teacher. Not to mention a speed painter, a potter, or an actor! Creativity is everywhere and I love nothing more than to explore it in my podcast, either by focusing on a theme – such as perfectionism, feeding your creative brain, or the pressure to be creative – in my solo episodes, or through my conversations will all manner of creative people. With The Creativity for All Podcast, I am keen to challenge the perception of creativity and, in the process, debunk many myths attached to it: it’s painful, for artists and the chosen few, etc. My guests and I are keen to zoom in and dissect the origin of an idea, the impulse that makes us engage with our own creativity, with the hope that it will inspire you to get creative too. My podcast is designed for anyone who’s already being creative, or is tempted to use their creativity, in particular those of you who think they are not creative or can never be. I would love to change your mind! So join me, every other Monday, as I explore and celebrate the many forms of day-to-day creativity. The Creativity for All Podcast is sponsored by Blue as an Orange, where we believe in creativity through communication, and offer mentoring and coaching for aspiring writers, and tailored language tuition for individuals and companies.
