    The Doctor’s Life

    by

    Since Feb 18, 2017 18:00 UTC

The Doctor’s Life podcast features lively and candid discussions with fellow doctors and scientists on how to achieve success in clinical medicine and non-clinical careers while staying healthy in mind, body and spirit and living a rich, purposeful life. Your host, Dianne Ansari-Winn, MD, MPH is a Board Certified Anesthesiologist and nationally recognized author, speaker, and coach. Dr. Dianne is known for her powerful and practical coaching, which she shares with her exclusive one-on-one physician clients. She is the founder of the Physician Vitality Institute, which has the mission of helping doctors to heal the world through being healthy in mind, body, and spirit. In 2011, 45% of U.S. physicians had at least one symptom of professional burnout, according to a study from the Department of Medicine Program on Physician Well-Being at Mayo Clinic. That number rose to 54% in 2014. At the Physician Vitality Institute, we work with doctors, help your doctors to rejuvenate themselves, create balance, and create vitality so they can give more to their patients and live the life they are dreaming about. We also create win-win environments for positive patient care and help to create solutions to create a supportive work environment to help relieve stress and burnout through systems that work.

Comedians Liz Miele and Maria Shehata talk about health, their bodies and life with little to no accuracy. It is personal and funny, but if it is informative – that’s just an unfortunate side effect. Privacy is not on the table, and they take real issues and silly phobias and have fun with all of it. They discuss the little-known neurological disorder Misophonia, that causes sufferers (Maria) to hate something as seemingly inoffensive as gum chewing, Liz opens up about her depression, a disease that runs in Liz’s family that she currently fears will come back the longer she shares a small studio with her boyfriend. As well as psoriasis, weight gain, whether or not vitamins are real, and can we please continue not hugging people after the outbreak is over? What Maria and Liz lack in real information they make up for in jokes, silly discussions and no copay! Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/2-non-doctors/support

Everyone on social media is talking about how toxic social media is! So we thought we’d ask you to first like us on Instagram (@2nondrs) and then watch Maria and Liz talk online about the internet, social media and phone addiction.

Fan Mail: Jade writes in about how headphones/ear buds affect ear wax.

Googles: (Guest Nikki Glaser) Why do babies hit themselves? (Maria) Is Borjomi water really a hangover cure? (Liz) Does castor oil help with hair growth?

Let’s Get Personal: What’s your grossest habit?

    Topic: Phone/Internet Addiction
