    by

    Since Jun 24, 2019 18:06 UTC

In organizations around the world, leaders are facing a deluge of urgent issues: a crisis in employee engagement, the need to make workforces more diverse, and the challenge of making workplaces feel human in an era of increasing dependence on technology and remote communication. At the NeuroLeadership Institute, we believe brain science can help provide solutions. Join us on Your Brain At Work, the official podcast of the NeuroLeadership Institute — where top researchers and thought leaders share breakthroughs in brain science and industry leaders reveal the strategies behind their success. By helping them understand how the brain works, we equip leaders with the tools to transform their organizations — building new habits and changing how people work, communicate, and make decisions. Combining research and practice, brain science and business leadership, Your Brain at Work explores how insights from the lab can provide solutions that work across industries and at any scale. Season 1 guests include broadcast journalist Soledad O’Brien; Dean Carter, Director of Human Resources, Finance, Legal, Shared Services at Patagonia; Deb Bubb, Vice President of Learning and Inclusion at IBM; and FD Wilder, Senior Vice President of Go-To-Market Strategy and Innovation at Procter & Gamble. C-Change Show- Changing Business Culture for GOOD

C-Change Show- Changing Business Culture for GOOD

    by

    Since May 10, 2022 21:00 UTC

Since the Great Resignation, culture has become paramount in recruiting and retaining top talent. Fairness and equity have become deal breakers for many job seekers. As a culture consultant, Change Management Specialist and Talent Optimization Partner with Predictive Index, I decided to do this show because I started to meet CEO’s and Founders that were… well, “white guys” that recognized that their homogenized leadership teams were leaving them blind Two risks that could only be seen from different points of view and different life experiences. They figured out how to diversify their top leadership teams. These guys are getting it right, even 4xing their annual revenue.I know there are a lot of other white guys out there who see the limitations of homogenized leadership teams, but they’re just not sure how to step into a new way of thinking or help their executive teams see the financial benefits of inclusion.I wanted to celebrate and amplify these self-described “rich white guys” who have figured it out and want to help other men do the same. Although you will be hearing predominantly from white male senior leaders, there will also be plenty of perspective from female and black CEO’s, executives and business leaders who offer their unique strategies and solutions.Join me every week where we will get into how the sausage is made, because when DEI is done right, it ain’t no Kumbaya situation – it’s messy and awkward and yet these emotional intelligence ninjas are getting it done.I have a no judgement, no blame, no shame policy here. The interviews are candid and entertaining and sometimes they can get a little raw so be fair warned, the language can get salty. If a shitshow is offensive to you, this is not your podcast : )Let’s dive into the C-Change!

Your Stories Don’t Define You, How You Tell Them Will

Your Stories Don’t Define You, How You Tell Them Will

    by

    Since Feb 1, 2022 06:00 UTC

It’s not the things that happen in your life that define you, that create your identity. It’s how you talk about those things. That’s the theme behind this podcast. Research shows that the stories you tell have a major influence in how you see yourself and in how others perceive you, so it’s important to be intentional about which stories you share and how you share them. Guests on the podcast share the pivotal moments in their lives and careers, offering keen insights and “ah ha” moments to listeners, while triggering related memories of listeners, opening up opportunities to uncover their own patterns and discover better ways to share their stories. During this podcast, I’m asking you to listen to consider your related stories, and to listen to consider which stories in your life might have impacted you in a similar way. — Sarah works with executives who know that story sharing makes them more compelling as speakers and leaders, and who want to improve how they connect with audiences, by uncovering the right stories and learning how to share them effectively so they can clearly and actively demonstrate their character, values, and vision.
