Death By DVD: When watching is never enough. We here at Death By DVD sit painfully through hours and hours of movies so you, the public, can make an informed decision of what you put in your ear holes and eye holes. Some of these films are good, some bad, and some even unmentionable; but ALL have one thing in common : Watching all of these movies will one day melt our brains into a sloppy wet mush. No need to thank us, we were already methodically destroying ourselves with cinema. At least this way there is a permanent record of our demise. As the midnight hour approaches, the smoke sets heavy, and the booze begins to flow like blood; tune in and drop through hell with your host Harry Scott Sullivan featuring horror artist I.Alexander Nash as we take you on a journey through the worlds of horror, gore, cult, strange, slashers, psychotronic, trash, twisted, gornography, weird, drive-in, cheesy, lost, rare, and frightening films. Join us and listen as lives collapse upon themselves

Long-running film podcast featuring hosts Ken and Thomas and numerous guests . In what began as a Clint Eastwood podcast, an actor who pivoted to director in a way no other actor had done before or since, we are now spending Season 10 talking about all those others who have attempted a similar pivot, to wildly varying results.

SIDE HUSTLE: Directors better known as something else, usually an actor, but we’re flexible. Come listen to see how long we can program it alphabetically.

Movies have always been a shelter for non-normative people. Different lives on the screen help to dream higher or just to escape your reality. By asking LGBT older adults which was their favorite movie when they were young, this podcast will explore those magical connections that, sometimes, a straight narrative could spark on a queer kid.

    Everybody is Interesting

    Everybody is Interesting

    by

    Since Aug 1, 2019 03:00 UTC

These are interviews with interesting people, which can be anyone – maybe well known, maybe not. Does everyone have an interesting life, and have interesting things to say? I think so. I don’t give you any background or context about them ahead of time. You’ll just have to listen – carefully – to what they say. These are conversations, not interviews. I don’t have a prepared set of questions. I just let the discussion go where it will.

This podcast is a dedication to the late, great film critic, Roger Ebert. If you’re a film-goer, you most likely already know that the “Fruit Cart!” was Ebert’s favorite movie trope! I’ve added a weekly segment in honor of Ebert and his long-time collaborator, Gene Siskel. A few dissections here and there along with weekly games, trivia, and even the occasional deep dive into obscure cinema. Did I mention there will be actor impersonations? 🍉 🛒 🎞

Starting in 1953, the first year the Oscars were broadcast on television, we randomly select a merit award category winner, watch the film, then talk about why it won that award. But that’s not all, this is our Oscars! We also randomly select three other categories, and decide if that film could have won those awards as well.

    Since Sep 20, 2020 20:00 UTC

Hello, future Educated Oxys! Every week soon-to-be-married Sebastian Sanchez and Fernanda Rebollar discuss a piece of pop culture and tell you why it earned its place in history. Whether it be movies, tv, music, video games, toys, comics, anime, manga, we cover it all. If you would like to see a specific topic tell us and we will do our best to talk about it; we always welcome feedback from our community of Educated Oxys.New episodes every Monday at 8 AM! A Best of All Time Show Hello, Educated Oxys “The Boys” premiered in 2019 on Amazon Prime after being in development hell for eleven years. Amazon was so confident in the show, it actually renewed it for a second season even before it premiered. However, this amazing show almost didn’t happen. As the title suggests the comic was canceled by DC after only six issues for poking too much fun at their titular superheroes. Luckily every other publisher was ready with an offer to bring the two creators into their fold. If you enjoy this episode make sure to like, share, subscribe, or leave us a nice review, and keep on learning Educated Oxys!
