    Modeling God’s Wills Podcast

    Modeling God’s Wills Podcast

    by

    Since Sep 15, 2025 12:00 UTC

Welcome to the Modeling God’s Wills Podcast, the show that gives readers deeper insight into the Modeling God trilogy. This podcast is hosted by Dr. Joel Swokowski, the commentator on these books, and the author, J.G. (John) Lenhart. We’ve carried on from the Modeling God Podcast to bring you the same benefit for the second edition: Modeling God’s Wills. After leading numerous Modeling God’s Wills book clubs, John and Joel were shown, yet again, that the more they teach this information, the more there is to discuss. Since not everyone can join one of the 16 week book clubs, they wanted to bring these discussions to you by inviting you to your own private book club! Each episode will cover between one and three chapters of the book, through four main areas: 1) Chapter Overview 2) Stories from Outside the Book 3) Applications from Within the Book 4) Questions from our book club participants Thanks for listening!

    The Broken Book Bible Podcast

    The Broken Book Bible Podcast

    by

    Since Nov 3, 2016 04:00 UTC

Considering the Bible’s saintly reputation, it packs surprising gore, horror, and depravity. As well as beauty, wisdom, and tedium. For millennia, the Bible has held Western culture captive to its strange stories of ancient people trying to figure out God.Maybe you’re not religious, but you’re curious about the Bible. Maybe you grew up in church, but you’re looking for a new way to relate to the Bible. Welcome! We’re Sam and Amanda. We’re obsessed with the Bible. Sam is a liberal Presbyterian who became post-modern by studying the Bible too much. Amanda is a mystic naturalist Unitarian Universalist with Reformed and Evangelical roots. We are wrestling with what the Bible can mean in the midst of radical questioning, faith changes, depression, and self-doubt. We hope you’ll join us as we appreciate, dissect, criticize, defend, and generally nerd out about the Bible from our progressive religious perspectives.
